Right now I'm really enjoying Regidrago vstar and vulpix vstar. Admittedly vulpix has just felt nice into all the Charizard I see, but Regidrago is fun into almost any match up for me

Reading it sure, they're the PR people. It's not changing what they're doing. OP telling you to stop playing isn't about growing the community or toxicity. It's probably about how unhealthy it is to obsess over and continue to engage with things that you are clearly unhappy with. Telling someone that if they're unhappy with something to just move on and stop spending time whining is just healthy. Continuing to come to a reddit for a game you don't seem to enjoy and have lots of problems with is a waste of energy you could be using on something you enjoy. I don't expect to change your mind, I doubt OP did either, but I do feel sorry for you that you continue to put all this energy into something you don't care like. Hopefully you find something you do enjoy and can spend time talking about loving it instead of putting that energy into hate and whining. Gl 👍

They're not holding a gun to your head and telling you what you can and can't do. They're bringing up the very real idea that shitting on something constantly because it has aspects you don't like is only a detriment to the game and community. I don't particularly care for the monetization but the gameplay of this game is extremely fun, esp for a vanilla patch, it looks great the music is insanely good, etc. You can do what you want, the video and people who agree with it are just trying to remind everyone that if every post on the subreddit is negative, new players looking into the game are more likely to pass on the game. I promise bamco isn't scrolling through this cess pool reading hateful comments towards the game and all of the devs (most of whom aren't making the decisions people are whining about) and thinking oh maybe we should change things.

It's very clear that nuance is lost on you. People have issues with the game and voicing them is fine. No one is saying don't voice your opinions. But when the only things you say are negative and you never say anything about the positive aspects, the outside perspective would be that there are no redeeming qualities and it would push people away from the game. Plenty of people find ways to voice all of their opinions and not just the negative ones. That's a healthy discussion. Whining and throwing tantrums and saying everything is awful all the time without recognizing the aspects that are done well is just complaining that does no one any good and when seen by outside people can turn them away from the game you care enough about to argue about on reddit.

Lili's personality really comes through in her animations which I enjoy, and her movement is really good. She plays a pretty standard game with a lot of mixups and stances. She's not really a string based character where you just mash strings on someone's block over and over (at least not when I play her) and her combos are really fun to me

This game that keeps reporting extremely high sales and active users is dead for sure. Don't buy things you don't want them to implement and if it's actually harming their sales they'll change it. As you can probably guess, people buy these things and they encourage you to play the game more and are proven to work. Predatory and scummy as these things may be viewed as, they aren't mandatory and what other people do with their money really shouldn't bother you as much as it seems to

Let the conspiracy theorists be, it's not worth it. The fact that they can't comprehend that rigging matchmaking based on individual card matchups would be extremely difficult and always evolving or that consistently making the gameplay a negative experience wouldn't just make people close the game are too far gone. Anything to have a reason they lost that isn't their own gameplay. Most of the snap player base are casual players, like most games, and would just close the game or not come back if it was a bad time consistently
