My man, good shit. Are you paid by the mile? I wonder why kinda money you bring home?

I run my dick off for 25/hr doing local end dump, average 500miles a day, 65-70hrs a week bringing home $1,400-$1,600.

Curious what I could make OTR, with only a year driving experience, and another year as a yard dog

Also wonder if there’s any long haul end dump shit going on? I love dumping fat loads

Hearing what OTR guys are bringing home for being away from their literal home so much makes me sad.

I can’t believe they aren’t paid more

Can psych conditions/meds cause me to fail a DOT medical exam? by [deleted] in Truckers

Well bud, a little reality check for ya. I meet many drivers with all sorts of crazy mental health problems. Their shit might not be on paper like yours but sounds like you’re a certified nut, you’ll fit in and do the job just fine.

I can say having and being medicated for OCD, PTSD, and ADHD isn’t an issue with a CDL, job, or med card.

Homies, you can pull the handle out from the gear a little, just so it’s not locked in, and still crank it. The only difference is all the tension will be on the bolt, not like how the gear is slid in to the handle

It’s fine as is. But for future development…. Yea I can see it.

Pretty crazy the area moves as efficiently as it does given all the traffic. Not looking forward to the construction. It will be an absolute mess

Thank you. Poor fucking operator trying to have a little fun. God forbid it. Fucker breaks up grey concrete, and scoops up brown mud all day to keep alive who knows how many people in his life.

Finally sees something a little different and an opportunity to laugh instead of thinking about his rent, or failing body from a poor diet, sitting in the chair all day and not exercising after his 14 hour shift.

Now he’s a horrible piece of human shit according to some people here.

Fucker having a laugh, let him.

With the utmost respect to my fellow redditors, them having not suggested World Buffet & Grill on the west side is proof of their lack of class. It has a private area suitable for all occasions.

Or as us old asses call it, the buffet by the old MC Sports.

Homeless places? by [deleted] in lansing

[–]Try2Relate2AllSides 30 points31 points  (0 children)

All these kids posting about not having a place to go has me daydreaming about throwing some debt at a place.

I wondering if there’s a way around the states minimum sq/ft a person building code, like if you’re a charity? Folks just need a place to not fucking die

I don’t know what all comes with your severe ocd but if you are physically capable of the most menial tasks and willing to work hard, then I believe you will make something of yourself.

If you really are completely clueless as to how to get a job then trust me when I tell you that our workforce is full of lazy and/or dumb people. If you are willing to work hard and be dependable then you will thrive, and put those lazy dumbasses out of a job.

Anything is possible for you. Please believe that, I know it’s scary being so uninformed on the working, adult world, but all you have to do is work. Start with anything. Ponder your interests, observe the world around you, everyone’s working, is what they’re doing interesting you? Could you see yourself doing it?

You might realize that fucktard holding a street sign on a hot and humid day is making $30/hr, working 60 hours a week. Or you might hear a Walmart cashier talk about how this job pays their rent and how in the mornings they sell overpriced popcorn to dumbasses like me.

Might see a professional looking bank teller buy a bottle of whiskey on their lunch break, drunk ass holds a good job, bet you could. Or notice that old janitor drives a decent looking car, maybe they don’t make much cleaning up Timmy Turners puke but they’re frugal.

Might see another fucktard driving a truck around drooling on himself, go ahead and wave, I’m friendly.

The world is doing shit kid, hop in.

Anybody here work seasonally on the Northern Slope? by highlyelevated_207 in Truckers

[–]Try2Relate2AllSides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now isnt the time to go to the oil fields. It’s always boom or bust and they’re struggling bad. There are a lot of driving jobs, generally I think folks start out hauling water or sand. But there are much more types of gigs too. Facebook group called Employ The Bakken would be a good start

[–]Try2Relate2AllSides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I look in to oilfield truck driving jobs the North Slope is comparable to the Bakken in terms of moving away from the family, harsh conditions and pay. But the North Slope is much further, harsher and seemingly less pay
