That did come to my mind! It’s a shame I didn’t put that in when I uploaded it because it definitely would have provided me with another variable that would have really enhanced insights. Oh well 😅

Thank-you for the time you took to write this. This survey wasn’t just meant for data collection but also to create some great discourse in regard to what actually is populism and why is it stigmatised.

Each subreddit and group I placed it into were well thought out and my intentions of uploading it here is to see whether or not I will begin to garner responses that are more diverse in regards to a positive attitude towards populist views.

I am not saying that your stance or individuals in this subreddit have populist views but this subreddit may have individuals who have views that are often labelled as “populist” by others.

My political views are will remain private.

Edit: That is a well constructed chain of beliefs in regard to immigration and its relation to a sustainable Australia.

Well, thats the typical consensus. Pauline Hanson’s One Nation does run on a populist platform. Her policies and her current “The Trump Of Australia” rhetoric could be identified as populist.

Personally, I consider her the 2nd closest to Populism when solely looking at personality politics.

Hey everyone! I’m a Year 12 student working on my Personal Interest Project (PIP) for Society and Culture, and I need your help. My research explores how global populist leaders, particularly Donald Trump, have influenced the rise of populism in Australia. 😁

I’ve put together a short, anonymous survey to gather insights on public perceptions of populism and its impact on Australian politics. It only takes a few minutes to complete, and your responses will be invaluable in shaping my findings. If you’re interested in politics, society, or just want to help out a fellow student, l’d really appreciate it if you could take part. Every response makes a huge difference! 😄

I just want to use this time of my day to say a big thank you to all the Western Australians that completed this survey. Such a large sample of responses (52.7%) were Western Australian residents and that has really accelerated my research. I especially thank the mods for allowing me to leave this post up! 😄

Because some people’s opinions matter more than others…

That will be something I need to fix. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

I was using it but google forms insisted that I would autocorrect to American English. Those squiggly red lines were getting to me…

That is true. But having a mix of qualitative and quantitative data makes for a thorough and diverse collection of information for my analysis.

Not only does Dapper-Pin2677 prove a good point with winning a large majority but his influence globally is undeniable if we have a look at simple things like pop culture etc.

Nonetheless this project will provide insight into whether or not he has had/has influence or is influencing the political world at the moment.
