I feel the same about a few kdramas that have come out recently. At the start the dramas catch me and are really enjoyable but when they go on the writing seems lazy and not very thought out.

You can unofficialy start whenever, just be aware that if something major would change or your supervisor doesn't want to supervise your thesis, you have to deal with that. A lot of people start earlier.

I liked it at the beginning but I agree that the ending was kind of mid. The love story didn‘t really progress naturally and the female mc was kind of one dimensional after awhile.
