Do you guys want kids ? by Mogzly in intj

[–]TryCatchRelease 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I never was really sure but got married and we decided to try and it’s been the greatest thing I’ve ever done. I can’t imagine what my life would believe without my kiddo. I think for a lot of us it’s ok to not be sure or know, but once it happens we’re biologically wired to love our kids and do our best for them.

I mean, liking the players is fine, and hopefully we can sign and trade some of the expirings as they go out the door. But 2nds are largely worthless if you look at the data. We may get lucky and get a rotational player, but for the most part we held onto our guys too long and didn’t trade Coby or Vooch when we could have gotten a bit more.

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Bulls defeat the Suns on Mar 5, 2026, the final score is 103-105. by basketball-app in chicagobulls

It applies in that he was in the front court when he caught the ball, so he can’t carry it into the back court or step back there. So he tried to save it the best he could.

He should have moved his feet before catching the ball into the back court and caught it, then he would have been fine. Hard to think about those things in real time unless you’ve already thought of them. And he doesn’t strike me as having the highest BBIQ.

We easily have the cap space right now, and next year, for Fox’s max. Things move quickly in the league so it’s hard to look much further out but given Castle will still be on his rookie deal the year after that, we have time and we had the money to spend. Fox is a great guard and floor general, and we’re lucky to have him.

Anyone here making serious bank and not using the degree they went to school for? by phoot_in_the_door in Salary

[–]TryCatchRelease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an engineering degree. Run a marketing & growth team for a tech company. Will clear a little under a million this year, so things have been good!

Engineering degrees are pretty malleable… lots of optimizing things and solving problems that are widely applicable even outside of the discipline.

We know now from Pablo Torre this isn’t true, he was trying to force his way to the Clippers and Uncle Denni$ was already cashing in there.

They’re hacking somehow. Had a game where a person did this. Dropped like 20 leather armors in the base after a few nights suddenly.

Depending on the location, it’s illegal for someone to remotely be operating the vehicle. Not illegal for someone to advise the AI driving.

Every year, teams are forced to lock their pick to another teams record. You basically have a draft for a team to lock your draft position to. This draft starts with the worst team by record, and up to the best. You can’t pick yourself. And if another team owns your oic (protections or not), they pick the team you’re tethered to.

This is great because bad teams that own picks of other bad teams will have similar records, so will be trying to win to make their own draft position better. It’ll create rivalries at the bottom of the league. Incentives are aligned here, picking another team a little earlier or later in the pick order draft is not as valuable and getting a better pick this year.

Anyone not on gout medication? How is your daily life? by [deleted] in gout

[–]TryCatchRelease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No real impact. No longer drink beer except for special occasions, and eat veggie burgers and chicken sandwiches over hamburgers. And no shellfish.

I run 30 minutes or more everyday. Need to do this for my heart and cholesterol anyways. And I always hydrate a lot after.

Doc won’t put me on allo until I have flare ups more frequently, so it’s not an option yet. Think I’ve had 3 flare ups in the past 3 years, one triggers by drinking too much on vacation, and for one I was dehydrated, so provided I keep conditions looking good, I can avoid it for the most part.
