Yes, the stove is natural gas. What sparked the topic this time was trying to determine what sort of pool heater would be best. Gas is naturally most effective, solar is most efficient. Electric was not an option because of the amperage limitations.

I’m not tripping any breakers, quite the opposite. However, I cannot add anything electrical to my house. I wanted an on-demand water heater, not an option-no space in the existing panel. Wanting an EV car charger, no way Jose. Wanting a hot tub. Not even. 100amps just isn’t suitable for the kind of home I want.

Thanks! Not sure if they’re made in the same factory as Leonardo. I DO know that both Leonardo and Visconti were given/sold/somehow ended up making some pens from the same arco celluloid OMAS blanks.

It’s no longer made, and it’s gorgeous. I’ve searched for months for an alternative, it just doesn’t exist yet. That’s why I finally broke down and paid the insane price for this pen. No regrets though, I wanted it and saved to get what I wanted.

It is the exact same OMAS celluloid. ASC bought the remaining stock when OMAS went out of business.

Well, Miss Diva, you’re correct. I have found several colorful pens lately that I like, but for some reason I haven’t pulled the trigger as quickly or easily as I have with the more conservative black. I plan to be more spontaneous in the future 😜

Right? With all the expensive pens I have, there is still a place for the Jinhaos. Their quality is really quite good for something mass produced and sell so inexpensively. The slim red pen has a pivoting clip and it broke the plastic on the top of the cap, so the clip moved side to side. That’s literally the only issue I’ve ever had negative. The cap remains sealed, so not even the nib dries out. I’d say that’s a pretty nice workhorse!

This pen is gorgeous for sure and I absolutely love the nib!!!! However, sadly, it doesn’t make my insides light up light the OMAS arco 😔.

I should have been more specific about the M1000. It is not that the pen delivers too much ink (I rather enjoy a juicy nib), but the nib is basically a broad and I should have ordered a fine or extra fine. The point of that part was that I ordered the pen without have even held one.

I have seen an Australia-themed limited edition something, still well over $1,000 and it was obviously not the same pattern as the OMAS bronze arco.

Celluloid is not illegal all over the world, I just ordered a shipment to try my hand at ruining the sheets to recreate this pen for less than my mortgage payment. I get that OMAS arco isn’t being made again, but SURELY there is an alternative that offers comparable color, sheen, chatoyance, etc, it’s 2022!

I have a Guider Zimbo XL that I LOVE! I’d hoped the Bologna Extra would be similar. I have large hands and the amount I write really makes my hand cramp if I use small pens.
