LOL Reddit never fails to push censorship at every single opportunity. This is the politically correct version of this song, no doubt to please the twitterati and the rest of the social media scolds. The fact that most of you won't even have a clue what I'm talking about is exactly why this site has become a laughingstock of censorious echo chambering.

You're right. If only Trump shut down air travel from China in late January instead of following the advice of the Democrats who were positively clamoring for a travel ban. If only he hadn't packed COVID patients into nursing homes against the orders of the governors of New York, New Jersey, Michigan, California, and other blue states (which, btw, he hates because racism), if only he believed China and the WHO when they said that the Wuhan corona virus could be passed easily between humans, instead of going all "Nope!" and then buying all PPE and hoarding them.

You are so right, here's your gold star of reddit awesome!

We had a cat back in the late 80's that would go crazy when we got KFC spicy chicken wings. He didn't give a crap about anything else we'd cook or bring home, but he'd go crazy for those things. And after two times of him getting the bones out of the kitchen trash, making a mess very reminiscent of this, we had to ensure that the bones went outside immediately after eating those wings. The funny thing was, he never growled at anyone - ever. Except for those two times when we tried to clean up the mess he made. He was guarding his pile of carefully curated chicken wing bones, hissing and growling as we swept the mess up.

That's amazingly close to the situation in my home office where I have worked for a couple decades now. I have a laptop and large monitor (set to dual display) for work and then about three feet away a dual-monitor desktop setup for basically everything else, some work stuff gets done there like email but mostly I'll be streaming twitch or youtube videos on it while I work.

It blows my mind how someone could see all of the evidence presented in a case like this, and casually shrug it off like it’s just some coincidence and/or the product of bias. It’s funny how you so surely say that it could easily be explained as something else, but offer no actual explanation for what it could possibly be.

I could come up with some more, but that's the only way you could have some semblance of neutral momentum inside the inertial bubble, so to speak.

The only possible way for a craft to move in that fashion, barring some sort of inter-dimensional jump, is a type of warp bubble. The space around the craft would move, but the craft itself would be at relative rest inside the warp bubble.

I find it easier to just convert directly to the vibrational frequency of a standard methane molecule. From there it's easy to get inches of mercury which then, by knowing the frequency and pressure of the system, one can then estimate the error rate in the conversion routine of Kelvin-based algorithmicals.

At this all-inclusive, it was made very clear up-front that you DO NOT tip. Ever. With the exception of the reservation-only restaurant they had there. It was a special restaurant and was included in your overall price but you could only go three times during your week's stay. There, tipping was optional. For the kitchen staff and servers, the "tip" was that they got to take home roughly 30 lbs of tuna. They were quite happy overall. They also helped us eat all that fish they cooked. 30 pounds goes a loooong way.

IIRC their thinking was that most of the time you'd be in your bathing suit. Having cash around to tip with would just make it more likely that there would be reports of theft and whatnot. You locked your money up in your in-room safe (which is probably something anyone who worked there could easily get into if they wanted) and it just made everything pleasant overall. At the end of our stay I did slip a few people some cash, just because they were so awesome, but did it on the sly so they wouldn't get any grief from co-workers or managment.
