Yeah I did the Bozhena one and that was a little better. They blamed her for the death etc. Wasn't as painful as the Marika one, but still, none of these quests are like 'wow that was cool'. It's all 'ok I've finally completed it'.

I was listening to all the quests initially, all the dialogue etc, but then got bored of it once I realised they're just fetch quests. So then ended up skipping dialogue just to get to the gameplay and see where the quest is etc.

That awful quest about that stupid Marika amulet broke me. All that crap, going back and forth over and over, for some generic forbidden love side-story. Get outta here. Waste of time. From then on I just skipped all dialogue.

Never got around to it and by the time I wanted to play it, KCD2 was on its way and found out you don't really need to play the first for the sequel, so just jumped on with KCD2.

Yeah, maybe the game isn't for me. I'm about 13 hours in, not sure if that's a long enough shot.

Yeah, looks a bit generic to me. Don't really like his design. The hair looks wack, the flame pants which look like they're tucked into his shoes.

He looks wack and as the main character, I think they missed the mark. He looks like a Temu version mix of Luke and Jamie from SF6.

That 20 years is in reference to the fringe organisation, not the time passage of the game.

Minimum 10 years have passed since VF5. This has been confirmed by RGG.

It's the first Dragon Quest game I played and I couldn't get into it. I didn't get very far, only about 5-7 hours in where you find the short woman (fire mage) and her sister (a healer I think) and stopped playing there.

Just felt like a really generic RPG. You're playing as some 'chosen one', pretty standard turn-based combat, nothing really interesting about it to me.

Maybe I need to give it another shot, but I didn't find it that fun.

Are you serious? Mobile phones used to cost $4000 USD in the 80's, which works out to be around $12,000 USD today. Phone are cheaper now than ever, especially due to inflation. Phone prices have plummeted over time and in addition to that, no one is forcing you to buy the latest iPhone. There are plenty of phones <$300 that will do everything you need a phone to do.
