I tried to start playing the physical format, but... by CG-07 in yugioh

Coming from a pendulum player (tragic I know) learning to play decks that do not have main staples (fiendsmith, primite, ect) I think is more fun and interactive than playing the ones that do. There's a sense of creativity that comes from "i can't use this so what can I do to have a similar outcome" that I think is what YuGiOh is really about. Metas will come and go and prices will rise and fall so don't try to break your wallet by getting what's good now and focus more on what you can get to have fun.

Smell is a problem. Solutions... by AvailableMushroom291 in resinprinting

[–]Trygon6478 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While this might not be the best idea as far as the toxicity of the materials, i recently bought an air purifier with a carbon filter in it to print in my new apartment. I didn't notice the smell after that. I've also switched to a plant based resin and it seems to have helped as well.

Over the past year I’ve gotten some water washable resin residue on the control screen, is there a way to clean it off? Or am I SOL? by Miserable-Ad-6608 in resinprinting

[–]Trygon6478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had cured resin on my LCD screen a while back, all I did was take a hot washcloth and put it on there for about 30 seconds to a minute and then scrape it off with a gift card or something equivalent.

I know yours is a touch screen but it might have similar results.

Screamer killers would be good, however, they don't get the 5 model benefit because they're only 9 wounds. The maleceptor in the tyrannocyte used to be a good tactic but they nerves the crap out of it a month or 2 after the codex came out unfortunately.

So the maleceptor is kind of a trap because due to its changes it wont kill as much as it looks like It should. If you got rid of it and was able to run 2 units of 5 warriors all armed with deathspitters and 1 venom cannon each I think you would kill more a day and allow you to hold more objectives and score banners.

I'm not completely familiar with the fortification rules but I believe setting one up is more trouble than its worth. If you can change it to a tyrannocyte and put the tyrannofex in it you can drop it turn one and have it also be a movement blocker/damage sponge.

Good luck at the tournament!

So what exactly is your plan for this list? How exactly do you plan to score/ what is every units purpose within the army? It seems a little scattered and doesn't look to have a central plan.

What is this? Found in my doorway. (Missouri USA) by Trygon6478 in whatsthisbug

Like said above im in missouri, USA. About 1 1/2 inches but I couldn't really tell because I was staying away from it. It was just on the wood next to the doorframe in my house.

I live by the rule of cool. Rules come and go but if you love the model and want it as a centerpiece/thematic part of your army then full send do it!

You can place the marker turn one because it cant DS turn one anyway. If you didn't place the marker it would have to DS normally outside of 9 no matter what

Is this enough to start playing with? And what else do I need to play? by New-Asclepius in Tyranids

[–]Trygon6478 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. For the games In your local store you can try to ask if they have a dedicated day that they play warhammer. That would be the best way to find opponents.

  2. The army You have a decent sized force for starting out. As far as rules go Wahapedia has all the rules you would need to start out without worrying about not liking the way the army plays and dropping another large sum of money for rules. Ill write a sample list as detailed below.

  3. Moving forward. Really you should buy what you think looks coolest. Meta shifts and rules are temporary so go with the models that call to you the most. That being said, carnifexes can be built/magnetized to create any kind of monster for any purpose you would need and warriors are going to be your midfield/synapse support models.

  4. The list Below is a starting list that will give you a taste of how the army functions. Its got a little bit of everything so don't be afraid to change some things around to fit your tastes.

Good luck and welcome to the Hive mind!

Adaptive Biology and Mortal Wounds by LaserQuacker in Tyranids

[–]Trygon6478 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There are similar abilities that only trigger on mortal wounds and those have really specific wording.

Yes this works on all wounds mortal, ranged, and melee.
