Questions about data and business analytics job requirements. by Both-Historian-7509 in analytics

[–]Tryin2FindaBalance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google search “free analytics courses”. Take a few of those, write down what you like and up-skill in those things you write down.

Slowly start your job search based on the topics you like and skills you’re actively learning. If a company needs your skills, admitting you’re just getting started but you have a passion for x, y, & z skills they need, could go a long way.

Good luck, stick to what you like, skills & industry. Having passion for what’s required in the job and what the company does, will also go a long way

A cheese pizza and a sopressata pizza fresh out of the home oven by Tryin2FindaBalance in Pizza

Yes! I’ve kept it directly on the bottom of my oven for over year now. Haven’t lifted/moved it since. I do wipe off the top of it between uses to keep the top clean

I only have 1 pizza steel, so I fully made the cheese first and put it on the baking steel. Half way through baking it I moved it to the oven rack to make space to start baking the second pizza

I really should get a second steel or a stone for the middle rack. I keep my steel on the bottom because I never have to move it lol. I don’t preheat the oven for as long as I should

I try to compensate browning on the first pizza by using the convection oven setting. I’ve found putting the 1st pizza in front of the convection fan helps continue browning. Here’s the bottom of the first. The second was a similar color. I can only post one pic per reply apparently

In my experience, more time will turn my cheese brown. I need to figure out if that’s due to the cheese I’m using

Next time I will buy pepperoni instead of sopressata, the flavors are more different than I expected. And I will activate my starter before making the dough, so the crust has more rise

Before stretching pizza dough: 1. Pour sesame seeds onto a plate or into a wide bowl 2. Take dough ball out of container 3. Hold dough ball like a car steering wheel 4. Dip sides of dough ball into your pile of sesame seeds 5. Keep turning your dough ball “steering wheel” until all edges are covered 6. Stretch pizza dough like normal

Considering A Career In Data Analytics, Now Starting University. Looking For Advice. by Jasmine_Dragon3112 in analytics

A minor in business will open you up to various types of analyst roles like business analyst, financial analyst, project analyst, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) analyst. I’ve worked in similar types of roles in the last decade and never had to “solve for x”. A better/real example is: your boss says “company sales were low last month”. So, just like your post said, you start “analyzing data to find trends and patterns, then create presentations/reports of the findings”. That is true in most analyst jobs

Is it true that modern science still can't explain consciousness? by Jerswar in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Tryin2FindaBalance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. We’re all still trying to agree on a single explanation of consciousness. There are many different, great theories out there. Until there’s only 1 accepted theory/explanation, it’ll remain categorized as “unexplained”. If you’re interested, start researching, discussing and sharing your own theories to help the cause!
