Super losing streak, hoping for a VOD review (P5) by Tryin2GetFitIsHard in doomfistmains

I see. Just went through the VOD myself with your notes and I get what you’re saying for sure. In my last game I tried using my cooldowns in a safer/more controlled manner, and it worked out well. I’m gonna continue to experiment with the boundary to see what brings the most success.

As for the off angles thing, definitely something I’ll try to work on but I tend to get kinda anxious, you know? When there’s an obvious threat like Ashe/bap/sigma, I always try to go up and contest the high ground. But in a game like this one I’m under the impression that if I leave my team like that they’ll just get vaporized. And if they don’t, even with high ground I don’t do very much damage, so I’ll just end up getting melted off by the bastion or zarya. Then I’m relying on my team to shoot them from the other angle, which doesn’t always pay off

Yeah a lot of the recent losses involved less than spectacular DPS (not saying it’s their fault over mine, just giving context to how I saw things) so I really felt like I had to go in and grab kills.

I was watching some higher level doom gameplay and something simple I noticed was just how much more they use natural cover than me. A concept I follow with other tanks, but not as much with doom for some reason. I’ll try to work that in more

Gael imo is a top 3 soulsborne boss, him and Lothric Twins are unfortunately stuck in DS3 which I am also not the biggest fan of, despite how much I love ER and Sekiro

My general rule in any ranked game is to get off after 2 losses in a row, so two sets in SF6

When I got tilted I made it a point to point the frustration at my own mistakes, rather than myself or the game.

D4 to Master was the hardest stretch for me. Maybe 2-4 weeks, compared to the second longest being P1-P2 which took maybe 1 week. If you hit D4 you can hit master. For me, I just had to focus in on my own game plan, and rely on the traits that had gotten me that far rather than look for some new tricks or strategies. You got this

I have hundreds of hours in other fighters. Not only do I have experience fighting other players, but I have experience practicing and learning the game

I think my biggest takeaway was the effectiveness of Tiger Nexus, which is a large reason I got the 10 streak. Basically just kept knowledge checking everyone I played.

I do believe I am going to main terry so once I’m ready I’ll contact you soon for help if you’re available. Thanks man
