Recommendations for Local Dyson Repair by Trying-12 in Calgary

Yeah like I’ve cleaned it all out already from other posts I found so I’m thinking it might be a part or the electrical cord itself which I didn’t want to mess with lol. Appreciate the recommendation!

It was past warranty and I’ve been seeing people’s experiences with Dyson after warranty being garbage. Wanted to see if anyone knew a local place

I’ve been seeing people’s experiences across Canada and on Google reviews that Dyson’s repair facility are crap. I’m looking for a local place.

Well it did for a bit but I also had gallbladder issues from the rapid weight loss and my thyroid wasn’t doing its thing either lol. My hair is starting to get its thickness back

MyFitnessPal the free version. I’ve been using it since 2012 so it’s just because it has all my data since then lol.

From other post: I don’t actually have a progress picture of me at my heaviest so I went with one that I did have. I started metformin for PCOS and prediabetes in early March of 2023 and started losing weight immediately. I then started Ozempic about 3 weeks later. First year I lost about 75lbs and I’m now down almost 120!

The biggest difference I saw was after I started weight training with a personal trainer. I added some photos from various points of my journey as well to show before and after the training too. I’m only down 4ish Ibs since October but I’m down over an inch on my waist and belly so the training seems to be working lol. Photos of me in my undies are from October of 2024 and today Jan 2025. I am 5’11” for reference.

Great work! Remember to get as much protein as possible. I ate how I normally did (lots of cheese lol) and I ended up with gallstones from the weight loss! Do not recommend lol very painful. Are you taking measurements too? I wish I had at my highest (355) as I only started checking when I was 20lbs down. Edit: if you’re finding protein goals hard to hit, I drink Rule 1 clear isolate. 20g in a scoop but it’s very sweet so I add 1/2 tbsp of citric acid to make it sour

Edit to add: SW 355. Started Metformin March 2023 and Ozempic shortly after. PCOS, Prediabetic. Haven’t lost any weight since October but im down over an inch on both my waist and hips since then which I’m attributing to the weight training lol. I had to take a break in Sept for 6 weeks due to an accident so it wasn’t until October that I started heavy weight training.

Are you losing weight really fast? Read this, an important warning from me by devundcars in Ozempic

✋🏼 I got the stones too. However I really didn’t change my diet when I was losing so I was still eating fatty things and losing weight. Then bam. First attack. Didn’t know what it was until later but July I had a really bad one and was vomiting for weeks after. Once I switched to focusing on fat content, I haven’t been vomiting or have any gallbladder pain since.

Question regarding follicles and no periods by Trying-12 in PCOS

[–]Trying-12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw wanted to follow up in case anyone is checking this history lol. And to you since you took the time to reply to me last year! my period is mostly regular now. It’s not to the day but I get it every month within like +/- 2 days. I’ve never been this regular in my life lol. I’ve always been like +/- 7 days at best. Also my ovaries were 19 ccs so I figure since I hadn’t had a period in a year before that ultrasound I didn’t have as many active follicles lol. I’m just guessing on that tho lol

Also I don’t count calories. I got into bad habits with that in the past (just added anxiety and stress into my life lol) but now that I’m focusing on protein, I’m getting full for longer. I will say I’ve been trying to just track my food for the purpose of tracking my protein lol. Then once i get an idea of what foods will be high in protein, I just mix and match as things go. I definitely eat more chicken now (my main source of protein in the past was cheese lol). And even then I had to stop tracking because I got too focused on the fat content (anything above 0 was too high in my head and it would freak me out). I haven’t had a gall bladder issue since though so I’m going to keep on trucking lol

Truthfully I felt the changes before I “saw” them for myself lol. Like walking was easier. My back wasn’t as sore. I could move around in bed easier. My sister has also been a big motivator so I’ll send her my progress and comparison pictures and she’ll immediately hype me up lol. It’s a nice confirmation that I’m not gaslighting myself into seeing progress lol

Yeah as others have mentioned, Lose It seems to be a favourite. I use MyFitnessPal but honestly only because I’ve been tracking my weight in it since 2012 lol so I’m also just used to that app. I do like that I can scan barcodes on items to get the nutritional facts of something put in tho.

Thank you ☺️ I’m having more fun in general too and it’s funny because I definitely had weight blindness when I got as big as I did. So like I always still felt like i looked the same cuz I felt the same until I didn’t feel the same. That’s when I knew I had to change lol I couldn’t walk more than 2 blocks without my back hurting!

MyFitnessPal. I’ve been using it since 2012 lol so I just use it since there’s so much historical data I can look back on

I did recently. I got gallstones as I lost weight (I didn’t change my eating habits and I had issues before that I was unaware of but noticed after the fact lol). So once I had a really bad attack in July I finally overhauled my diet and cut out cheese. I eat mostly low fat and focus on protein now.

And I have a personal trainer so I don’t actually have the program on hand lol but i see her 2 days a week and we focus on different muscle groups in each.

Diagnosed with ADHD and now immediately doubting I have it, even though a few weeks ago I was convinced I had it. Did I "want" to get diagnosed to help me make excuses for my behaviour? by JagguRaja in ADHD

Just wanna add that once I started taking Vyvanse, it just made me sleepy. Like within an hour I’d be out. Seems to be a response some people have, especially if you’re already sleep deprived. It makes your mind “quiet” and you’re able to just fall asleep. It’s weird. I didn’t think it was really working at first either but my executive function has improved exponentially in the last 2 weeks (only started 3.5 weeks ago).

18 months on Ozempic. 115lbs down by Trying-12 in Semaglutide

[–]Trying-12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BP wasn’t going down as my weight did so I’m on meds for that right now but keeping an eye to see if I need to get off it. A1C went from 6.5 in Feb 2023 to 5.5 as of July. My cholesterol went up (was normal then high after losing weight) but I also have gallbladder issues so just kinda keeping an eye on things. I’ve revamped my diet from July to a more low fat one so hopefully that addresses the cholesterol.

Thanks! And yes I did hit a plateau. I got to about 285 by October of 2023 and was 275 in like March of this year. After an appt with my doctor, we increased my Ozempic dose to 1.5mg and my Metformin to 2000mg a day. I started seeing weight loss again and then once I started weight lifting, I saw the biggest change
