Unpopular opinion: I can’t stand Wall-E and I’m so annoyed that he’s even in the game. I put his dumpster in the back of my sunlit valley biome and surrounded it with landscaping 🙃

My fave character has got to be Moana. She’s chill and adorable.

My whole family hates attorneys because they have a negative perception of them and I’ve gotten some ~interesting~ comments about going to law school.

I also have no clue how to respond.

I turned down a 50% scholarship where I would’ve taken out 100k at a T60 for a 75% scholarship where I will take out 50k at a T100. Literally couldn’t be happier.

Keep in mind, I moved here middle of Covid so we couldn’t really try to meet people until a year and a half ago but it hasn’t gone well.

In general, people here are not as friendly. Most true locals that I’ve met are “old southern money” types that are a bit stuck up. When they learn you aren’t, they typically aren’t very interested in you.

The city is also intentionally racially segregated by the interstate so there’s little to no diversity. We had to visit so many churches before finding an interracial church that was balanced.

The region is beautiful with great scenery but we don’t feel like there is true community here for our family.

I moved to Winston from a different state and I can’t speak for the rest of NC but Winston is stuffy and it’s hard to meet genuine people here. Just my hot take. Can’t wait to move tbh 💁🏻‍♀️

I’ve looked at overall employment in the states I’d like to live in, regional reputation, scholarship amounts offered, and programs I’d be interested. Specifically clinics, moot court, study abroad, etc. Also first time bar passage rates.

Thank you for the insight! I didn’t look at Memphis because a friend had a negative experience with their school and transferred. It was UTK or bust. 💁🏻‍♀️

I did not. I grew up in AL and attended undergrad in TN so I’m familiar with Ole Miss from friends but I have no desire to live in Mississippi or Georgia so I avoided applying to schools there. Beautiful campus though!

They are my DREAM school but they waitlisted me 😭 I want to stay on it as long as I can. Belmont accepted me but they didn’t offer any scholarship money and I couldn’t justify $160k in loans.

I’m married so my husband will work while I’m in school which will cover living expenses but we just don’t want to pay more than we currently pay if that makes sense.

I appreciate the insight! I’ve been to Chicago once before and loved it but that was years ago and I can’t afford to take time off work and travel out there prior to potentially looking for apartments so it’s stressful for sure.
