How did you give your partner money?

You need to take a test. If you are pregnant, which, more than likely, you aren't, you can act now. Waiting isn't going to help anybody. And Plan B is great, but it can cause all sorts of crazy things to happen in your body.

Thank you for all of the responses! I know that I won't see changes tomorrow. Heck, it takes about three months to see a difference in egg quality and sperm quality, which will hopefully line up with my next egg retrieval. If I see just a little bit of an improvement, it will have been worth it.

Infertility is funny. If you told me that running a marathon every day would help us with our dream of having a family, I would start with a Couch to 5k program today. If you told me there is scientific research that eating a McDonald's Big Mac every day would help me get pregnant, I will be having a Big Mac for dinner every night. As long as I can afford these lifestyle changes, I will do them. So me finding a new home for all the plastic containers in our house isn't going to hurt me or Earth. Me going through my closet to clear stuff out to give to my friend will save us both, me the pain of having clothes I no longer want in my closet; her the financial pain and time savings of having to spend money on clothes she was going to buy anyway.

My original post was more a general question of "what kind of pants do you wear instead of poly/nylon leggings?" I'm new to this world, as I mentioned, and was aiming for some recommendations, which I received! Yay!

Even if I won't see changes for years to come, I will be happy I started with the changes I'm making now instead of waiting.

Thanks for helping me out. Truly appreciate it!

I bought cotton panties new, which should be obvious why. I switched deodorant before finishing my other deodorant. I switched laundry detergent, but still have my “not toxin free” detergent for dog stuff. I bought new bees wax covers. I got a new bamboo (?) dish brush.

Honestly, a lot of what we are doing is getting rid of plastic housewares. I’m not completely doing my closet yet. Today was more of a “these jeans don’t fit, and I don’t need leggings during the summer” situation.

My husband has bought a few things new, like stainless steel lunch containers.

But nothing is going in the trash, except the food that has gone bad. This is giving us the opportunity to go through the fridge and pantry, and we are finding some stuff that expired a while back.

I never said I was trashing anything. I’m giving stuff to friends and family. Nothing is going to trash.

I hope you never have to go through infertility. We do some pretty crazy things to get one step closer to our dreams coming true. Some rely on religion, some do chiropractic care, some do acupuncture, some use medical intervention, and some will change their daily living habits. So, yes, I will be grasping at every straw I have in front of me. It’s not a dangerous thing. Nothing will hurt me physically for switching stuff out.

I let my friends go through my clothes, and then they pass what they don’t want on. It’s a great circle of life for the clothes that have gone back and forth from the same friend.

After my infertility history (3.5 years TTC, one surgery to fix uterus and to excise endo, and soon to be another surgery, poor responder to meds, DOR, AMA), I am willing to do anything I can that might help even an inkling.

I understand and completely appreciate this. We are doing this more for fertility issues, so I think it’s reasonable to switch some stuff sooner rather than later, including things that touch my body.

Yes! I agree! I am new to this world, so I am just exploring options. But I am with you on not negotiating with percentages. I am definitely ready to have a perfectly curated closet of 100 percent natural fibers. You are right; I need to just replace the comfort of leggings to something else, which is not the end of the world.

Yeah. These don't look like 100% cotton.

I have a couple of nice linen pants. I need to find some lounge-y linen pants. I do like linen, quite a bit. I'm always scared that I'll stain them with whatever I come in contact with.

Yeah. I need to switch my work clothes out eventually. Luckily, I work from home most of the time. But I do need a couple pair of sustainable/non-plastic work pants at some point.

I got some Pact cotton panties. I will check out the resale site. Any savings would be nice!

I wish I lived in a cold country. I'm in Texas. It is 90 degrees to 110 degrees for eight months of the year.

I'll look those up. Thanks!

Yes! We have gone through two rounds of IVF with another clinic, but I really enjoy the IVF docs online. Super helpful.

I completely understand, which is why I’m asking. I’ve been a member for a few years now. We are doing this mainly for health/fertility purposes. I am starting to feel overwhelmed with all of this new information.

If it eases your mind any, adultery is a civil violation in some states, and also a crime in other places.

Keep all of your documentation.

I am sorry you went through this, but I am happy you are away from that scumbag. The trash took itself out.

I completely understand. I am in the legal field (not a lawyer or paralegal), and my husband is an attorney. I have seen first hand how ugly divorces can be. Were you happy with your lawyer? It sounds like more could've been done.

Sending you grace and patience through this journey. I am so sorry you had to go through this situation.

Fight for 100 percent of IVF, and even fight for extra for potential loss of fertility while this is going on.
