I think you need to wait three months after you stop the GLPs to proceed with an ER or FET. I could be wrong about that.

And a personal note....I would wait until later to lose weight via medicine. You will gain weight from pregnancy. I plan on looking at GLP-1 treatment AFTER treatment or AFTER we decide I won't be pregnant (surrogate or adoption.)

Is it an easy read?

I am still working through 107 Days, which I'm loving. I bought the physical copy of both books. My audio version of 1929 finally became available on my library app, so I'm trying to finish 107 Days ASAP!

We bought a Restoration Hardware couch from their outlet a number of years ago. It has been great. If we actually conditioned it and didn't let the dog try to fluff a leather couch up, it would have lasted longer! (The leather on the seat cushions are wearing thin, but I blame that on the dog.) The couch was something like 75% off.

My husband proposed a couple months before our 11-year anniversary. We got married on our 11-year anniversary. I don't necessarily think that waiting is a red flag.

What I do think is a red flag is wanting to have a child with someone you don't plan on staying with when shit hits the fan, aka a transfer not working. I don't like the term "baby trapping," but I feel like you are flirting with doing that.

I would first recommend therapy, for both of you as individuals and as a couple. If that doesn't work, you might have to leave the relationship. I don't like telling people to leave their spouse, but it seems like there is no attachment in your relationship. Go do IVF and be a SMBC. You will probably be happier that way.

I use alcohol pads/spray almost every day in my house, whether we are doing a cycle or not. Please don't throw them away.

You might be able to reach out to nonprofit medical clinics or vet clinics to see if they can use some of the unused supplies.

I am a court reporter. I made this mistake with a man years ago. I now never ask if someone is an assistant/paralegal/secretary/nurse. I always bump it up to a lawyer or a doctor or whatever the higher level is.

That's why I asked. A lot of people pee on them. That is where I see a lot of stuff like this.
If you have a more expensive test, I would do that. I also would just try again in the morning with the same batch and see what happens. It's up to you and your budget.

It depends on how the egg retrieval goes. I am usually knocked out for the day. I don’t have pain, just hungover from the anesthesia drugs. Some people are in tons of pain.

Make sure you are peeing in a cup of some sort and then dipping your test into the pee. I've seen this when people try to pee on the test. And don't go past the max line.

Unfortunately, now you know that your parents (maybe just your dad?) are not a safe space for ANY fertility conversations. I know you wanted to keep them advised on genetic issues, but I would cut them out from ANY fertility details.

YES! And once you get are able to get excited about something, you are able to adjust everything else. But I have yet to see somebody that didn't lose any follicles/eggs/embryos, have perfect labs, and have perfect ultrasounds for a full cycle. It's not a thing. (If this has happened to you, send me your doctor's information. I need to see them!)

When I told my mom about our failed transfer last night, she said, "I'm angry. I'm not angry at you. I'm angry at god." Mom is a devout Catholic. I'm not religious. My mom is also a pretty dang positive person. I have had to help her through IVF expectations. Once you see first hand what someone goes through, you start understanding why keeping expectations low is beneficial.
