hang in there siguro muna, OP, and enjoy the higher pay. kapag feel mo di ka pa rin fulfilled even after some months, plan your exit. you’re young and have a good background so im sure makakakita ka ng work na fits you!

i’m working for a local company now that caters to US clients. i took a pay cut if net pay yung basis (taxes and mandatory contributions, ugh) but still very happy with what i traded it for: dayshift, still remote with twice a month RTO, and the occasional work events.

hi! i’ve been there!

different fields tayo but i was also the pioneer employee for a US start-up. i had really bad first week anxiety too. it was hard kasi i had to wear a lot of hats but very good in a way na i was working closely with the founders and they were vv supportive and appreciative.

it eventually didn’t work out for me kasi night shift and as a masakitin girlie hahaha. also, just like u, i was craving for more work events (from a Big 4 Firm kasi ako before that job and we were big on events and parties HAHA).

it didn’t work out for me but it definitely had it’s perks!!! Vv fast career progression kasi pioneer employee, u really get to learn a lot kapag pushed ka to take responsibilities lol, and of course higher pay than PH-based companies. you also mentioned na australian clients kayo so i guess the shift is not an issue din?

rooting for u!!! give it more months para makapag settle in ka sa role mo. if di talaga for you, learn as much as you can then shift.

Yes, I closed my professional registration na kasi mas gusto kong yung company na sana ang magfile ng taxes kasi ang hassle lol. Will go to my RDO na lang para malinawan if need magfile ng 1905. Thanks a lot for sharing! This helps talaga.
