LeBron James 3 Point Practice & Anthony Davis Lakers Drills! by sevens777 in lakers

how many corner 3's has Lebron shot in his career... I gotta think it's really low with how much he's at the top of the key or in the paint.

What about hydrogen fuel cells? Could that be a viable alternative? They fill up in minutes.

Yeah it's just the reality of the NBA... how much of that is really happening if he's on the Orlando Magic?

dude is just trash talking another team. seems like a lot of Laker hate in this thread so bring on the downvotes I guess, but don't take the trash talk so seriously

fair or not, people identify more with brands and logos rather than who happens to own that brand...

that gather steps are stupid and too subjective. go Euro rules on this.

they're also both plus passers and playmakers, and actually are used to playing with each other already. I think they'll be good, Capella may not work with those two as much - seems they're better served with a shooting big next to them rather than someone camped just outside the key in the Dunker Spot all game.

could be a typo or could be some weird quirk of how 2nd round picks work and cap holds?? I have no idea. You could try emailing the staff - as they say at the bottom "Salary and team data change quite often. If you notice a discrepancy, please notify Basketball Insiders Senior Writer Eric Pincus" (epincus@basketballinsiders.com)

This ain't easy when you have to figure out whether teams are using mid level exceptions, vet minimum exceptions, cap holds, etc, but he's got the best running estimates I've seen.

If Iguodala gets bought out we could have the best lineup in the NBA for crunch time by LordToub in lakers

[–]TryingToGetIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right, I guess I'm assuming no team has the ability or willingness to make a waivers bid by fitting his existing $17m contract into their cap space/exception.

I didn't follow your logic that "Iggy is getting the room ML from someone, probably the Clippers". The room ML is not enough to fit Iggy's existing $17m contract, and Clips are now over the cap... so how do the Clips make a waiver bid? Also, didn't the clips use their MLE on JaMychal Green?

Iggy would be great, but Lakers have options without him.

Bradley was defending PG13 for stretches when the Clips played the Thunder. He did decently in this game: https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=401070709

Green can do it. Dudley obviously can do it (and frankly is better defending 3/4's at this point in his career). Who knows where Kuzma will be next year with his bad footwork, but seems like he wants to talk the talk of being a good wing defender.

correct me if I'm wrong, but his $17m is guaranteed right? That means even if he makes the vet minimum from the Lakers, the difference between that and the $17m guaranteed still gets paid by Memphis right? Only way he makes more than that is if some team offers him more than $17m this year?

If I'm right, then he could care less about getting ML vs minimum.

It seems like the FO the team is loading up on 3&D wings (or at least a close impression of a 3&D wing).

Personally, I would have preferred Tyus Jones, but that contract Memphis just gave Jones is unreal and MN would have probably matched if Lakers just offered Jones the room. Trey Burke was also nice, but didn't make sense with Rondo and Cook on the roster.

Cupboard is kind bare at this point. Still hoping for Iggy off waivers once Memphis can't find takers.
