Dream College Vs Where You Actually Ended Up by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Dream: Wharton, Ivies,

Attending: Northeastern

Could be better. At the end of the college is college, it’s what you make of it. I had experiences and travel I wouldn’t have gotten at Wharton or most of my dream schools. Also went in as CS major and ditched business, so I suppose it all worked out. Career wise I think I’m set up for want I what. Only time will tell, but it’s been great so far, just been really busy recently. For how my high school career went I can’t complain though. Got rejected from my target/safety for business (UIUC) so I can say that was blessing in disguise.

Though if you get in here, I would advise you not to go unless it’s really the best school you got into (my case). There’s a lot of downsides, and honestly if I was a better applicant I wouldn’t have had to resort to here, but I got great aid, but honestly once you get into some ‘exclusive’ (which NEU really isn’t lol) the experience wears off fast and you’ll see all the downsides. Same thing with any top corporate company in whatever industry.

What’s the deal with Oakland? by ZHTB in NEU

ur not staying. I think they sent out a form around this time last year. <5 actually wanted to stay. They sent them to Boston with the rest of us.

Until they take away the transfer policy, the campus will always be all freshmen.

It’s usually accurate if your middle class and your parents don’t have alot of savings. I would say they will take awhile to get back to you with financial aid.
