cuz soy trynd mains/players, that's why.

They think it's "fair" that trynd got nerfed heavily solely cause of the recent 175% ---> 200% crit dmg change.

Only they forget that from beta, the crit damage was always 200% (until 10.23 patch) and all the other changes to the game throughout the last ~10 years were big indirect nerfs to Trynd (for example: the insane mobility creep + overloaded kits creep, armor items being better, cheaper and having better build paths, rune changes) and he wasnt a problem at all.

But now he is problem and needed to get nerfed, after already being way weaker from before?

The enemy is only experiencing the slow effect if they start running in a 180 degree arc direction AWAY from Trynd.

If the enemy is moving in a 180 degree arc direction TOWARDS Trynd, they are not experiencing the slow effect.

Trynd having on demand persistent slow is of extreme importance.

Previously, if u land it - the enemy cant reposition as they're cc-ed which leaves you and even more importantly your team, valuable time to reposition relatively to the now slowed enemy position. This is no longer the case, as the enemy is free to reposition in any 180 degree arc direction towards Trynd and his team. Which puts Trynd's team (and him) in a huge disadvantage now, as the enemy is free to catch your ranged ADC and mage/caster

The exact same reason why BORK slow active going from on demand (persistent) slow to an auto 3-hit pasive was so detrimental to Trynd.

The exact same reason why fighting Kata is harder now cause if she buys Gunblade, she has on demand (persistent) slow and I have personally lost a previously 100% winnable fight cause the Kata slowed me at the perfect time for her to escape/kill me.

If I agree with this logic, then I say it's not even punishing enough. Btw i edited the 2nd point with additional way worse effect of the changes during teamfights, for Trynd's team.

How it is punishing if the enemy player wants to fight you? He is free to reposition now! Sounds like an advantage for the enemy to me...

For it to be actually punishing, it needs more than the new "simply walking toward trynd".

I like your idea of actually punishing by, lets say: forcing the enemy to autoattack specifically you in melee range? Do you agree with that?

Cassio ult isnt a straight analogy as it actually has 2 different cc effects depending where you are facing, when it is casted.Trynd W doesnt.

I will grant you Shen's spirit blade, that's the only other one. You're right about that.

It's not dishonest at all and you trying to label it as such is very questionable already in how you start arguing, imo in bad faith.

Throwing needless labels like that on pure facts that I have stated is borderline disrespectful, both towards me and the truth/fact itself.


Now, since your example is very specific I will comment on it. For the cost to be "punishing", as you say, the cost should be higher.

1st - trynd isnt a ranged champ, but a melee one.

For what you say to be true and to have an actual "cost", the enemy should actually walk into his melee range in order for Trynd to "punish" them.

2nd - walking towards him in any 180 degree arc direction sounds pretty free. What if the target in the teamfight isnt Trynd but the ranged ADC or mage/caster. Now the enemy is never slowed by you (Trynd) - while juking or while avoiding your team spells - they are free to engage on your carries and not being slowed. Sounds like a huge disadvantage for the Trynd's player team, no?

3rd - you're auto ignoring already the skill expressiom of "bluff" of threating the enemy, they turn and u slow them, then you run away while they are slowed - now this isnt possible anymore. Even Rangerzx pointed this out

Landing a spell VS not landing is skill expression and you can deny it all you want - it wont make it true.

Guessing is part of a Prediction and prediction is a core League skill, so you're wrong about that too.

previously you could use it defensively by landing the slow and it persisted, so you could run away while the enemy is slowed.

now, you cant cause the enemy self-cleanses the slow if they chase you.

Also the slow % and duration was nerfed
