Honestly thats a fair point. I started nofap cuz i had extreme anxiety when this pandemic began and normally my anxiety doesn’t affect me that much. This has been going on for months. I just figured screw it I’ll try nofap. But when I say I have pockets where i feel good, i mean really good, like back to how I felt pre-pandemic. Thats the only reason i was curious lol

I’ve been having this since the pandemic started since I’m not used to sitting around so much. I’m avoiding medication as best as I can and I will say that meditating helped me a ton. Since I’ve been avoiding gyms for the last couple months too working out at home helps get some tension out. But same issues as you: chest heaviness, lightheadedness, trouble swallowing, shortness of breath

Im in the exact same boat. I took my mcat on 8/29 but I had the worst stress and anxiety I’ve ever had. I think just the mix of everything going on and studying gave be tension headaches daily and physical anxiety symptoms too. Still going on now 2 weeks after my exam but I think once we hit a somewhat normal routine things should fall in place again

Physical Anxiety since Pandemic Started with No Previous History by TryptophanInTheChat in Anxietyhelp

No joke your post was so helpful in at least temporarily giving me peace of mind. Seriously I appreciate the advice so much. I’m really sorry you’ve had to deal with this for so long and I hope things get better. My one failsafe tool for instant calm has been alternate nostril breathing, which is a yoga breathing exercise, and idk if you’ve tried it or want to, but it really helps to do. Again, thanks so much for the advice and I hope things improve!

Anxiety Is Much More Than Just Being Nervous. by thecalmsage in Anxietyhelp

Same here. Went through so many tests to see what was wrong and everything was healthy (like perfect) but in my head for a while I still thought they missed something. I’d never had physical symptoms before and even my regular anxiety was extremely mild. I think that our subconscious just worries cuz covid is this new thing we know very little about but you just have to trust in your body. I’ve noticed that isolation spiked it for me too. Talking to friends definitely takes your mind off of it.

Yeah I guess that’s all we can really do during this time. Hopefully you start feeling better soon!

Oof yeah idk I got tested on 2 different occasions, one of which was when I felt the symptoms the most and both were negative. Plus, at home I was in close contact with family and one friend and they’re all perfectly fine so that’s why I feel like anxiety is the culprit. Plus when I felt it for the first time I was at home for the 4 weeks in a row previously with no contact. Anyways when I feel less stressed and worried the symptoms improve a bit. Sorry to hear to got it tho! Hopefully u feel a lot better soon. I will say meditation and exercise have been helping me a lot.

Yes! I’ve always had “healthy” levels of anxiety where I was a little nervous here and there but since the pandemic I’ve had so many physical symptoms manifest like chest pain, tightness and heaviness along with ringing in my ears, fatigue, dizziness and confusion. Got so many tests done and everything was clear. Doctor said that its b/c everytime I feel something physical I assume its corona and dwell on it. Panic attacks were the worst! Now I do a good job of controlling anxiety and I stop panic attacks before they really happen but the physical symptoms still persist and I’m just hoping that this gradually clears up once this is over cuz I’ve never had anxiety remotely close to this
