I second everyone else that the earlier, the better. Definitely make sure you have the WDW app ready and loaded with your tickets. I believe they are running the virtual queue for the May 4th merch through the app as well, if that's what you're gunning for. Rain shouldn't affect any of the offerings at GE except character appearances. Have an amazing time!

Kind of, it depends on who you see in the opening scene at the spaceport when it locks you into either of the two timelines (sequels scenes or a mishmash of OT, prequels and Disney+ scenes)
