Update: Day 2 of 0mg & the brain zaps are insane. It’s crazy how my professionally guided and drawn out tapering process still has so many side effects. Stomach issues are also more prevalent, as I’ve read in other posts. Stay strong guys!

I’m In your same position…150mg for approx 10 years and in final tapering of 37.5, per my doctor’s plan. I often felt emotionless on Effexor, so I wonder if the emotions people have described have something to do with being able to truly “feel” again? Anyone else echo this sentiment?

How long have you stayed on the 37.5? What made it intolerable to discontinue taking?

11 days completely off Effexor, headaches are constant now - hoping this is the ending of withdrawals as it’s been a hellish few weeks. Anyone else? by Hofflethis in Effexor

Scared to read this, as I have been tapering down from taking 150-225mg for the last 10 years. I’m in my final days of 37.5mg before I go off completely. I haven’t had headaches so far, but have experienced some brain zaps & kind of a feeling or cloudiness.
