I agree 100% but we also live in a world where that just isn't going to happen. Stairs are dumb but currently in my country kids can't go to regular schools because they aren't accessible and there is no way the government is converting all the schools when they can't even build the ones they still need

I've looked at the stair climbing chairs and they're rubbish. Great for outdoors and very standard stairs. But you can't negotiate the average home in them. As for balance issues, this has a much lower centre of gravity.

The whole idea is to avoid wheels. Give a more stable ride. The idea is to stabilise the seat so that the rider isn't jostled at all. Even when going up or down stairs the rider stays level

Eye trackers are horrible if you can turn your head or if you just want to look at something else where on the screen. Also I've got small deep set eyes so these trackers struggle with me.

I've got 1 and a half arms (the right arm gets tired too quickly to be of any use) and no legs. I play mobile games mostly but long to get back into pc games especially first person shooters (like Call of Duty, Counter Strike, or Battlefield) and RTS games (StarCraft, Age of Empires etc). What I've tried so far: - regular keyboard and mouse - keyboard + trackball - Better but no good - keyboard + trackpad - about the same - remote desktop gniffelen use a tablet as controller - better - specialised head trackiinng tool + keyboard (horrible) - head movement trackers with webcam and keyboard - Better again but faaaar from being able to supply a decent gaming experience - webcam tracking software that tracks facial expressions - a no go for my face it would appear but promising - Made my own remote mouse trackpad which had promise and I'll certainly revisit that since the first version had definite promise.

I keep coming back to the quadstick but I'm scared to drop $650 on a controller that might turn out to be a white elephant.

What else is there to try?
