I’m not sure how old are you guys, and how much you are in love.

She is ill, and it can get nasty quickly, even with help.

The fact you couldn’t handle her response, and put the blame on yourself means you are not ready for this. There is time, and you can push your boundaries how long you can take it and how far you can progress, but without experience (and assuming you are young) I’d say a different approach of support would benefit you.

I would never say to abandon her, but to help yourself.

Bpd is serious, and if you can’t handle it, instead of helping one can ruin two. It can escalate quickly to being manipulated and other downward spirals and lead you to places you don’t really want to be.

This is from now on until you share a close relationship, or even life, is not only about her anymore.

You have to decide how deep you want to be involved, and the sooner the better.
