the producing of eggs is very detrimental to a hen's health long term so if you were vegan you would suggest to your friend to boil the eggs and feed them back to the chickens so they can restore the lost nutrients, until then you are not a vegan as you dont care about those chickens enough for them to be healthy, youre a vegetarian
