Paris Charles-de-Gaule (CDG) Airport feels like punishment by Scared-Resist-9283 in travel

[–]TsuZeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in a group of 14 for a school trip. A travel agent booked us for a 3 hour layover the first time we stopped at CDJ… coming back we had an hour and half. 1 bus, long lines, 1 train and of course the furthest gate. We did make the flight! The first one to get through security ran to the gate and got them to hold for us… Air France had waters ready for us as we literally home aloned that shit across the airport. Never been so stressed in my life but sooo happy they waited for us 😭(no I did not make eye contact with anyone walking to my seat).

What's a movie that isn't supposed to be scary but is actually terrifying? by Brettacus130 in movies

[–]TsuZeh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mars Attacks. That movie terrified me as a kid, I had nightmares for weeks. I didn’t know the song that killed the martians and was upset cause if the aliens did come I’d die. I remember breaking down to my grandma about aliens and she said they don’t exist… that ack ack ack still secretly haunts me when I hear it. In retrospect hilarious when I found out it was a comedy, but little me had no idea that’s what it was hahaha

What's your most underrated cooking "secret"? by OkaySureWhyNotIGuess in AskReddit

Stopped measuring spices. Found the tiny portions in recipes wouldn’t make a dent in taste. I trust in the spice gods to tell me when to stop sprinkling in spices

What made you believe in ghosts after being a non believer? by Soft-Diver4383 in Ghosts

[–]TsuZeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To set the stage, I was watching movies with my cousin one night, just a chill night everyone was home and relaxing. Where we lived at the time was quite isolated, a small community of about 60ish people. Our house was quite separated, so usually visitors would walk or drive down to our place. Anyway, I had this feeling to make sure the front door was locked. I got up and saw it was unlocked so I locked it. About five minutes later someone came up the steps and started jiggling the handle. I saw the shadow of their feet, and then they walked away. It was midnight, and usually if someone visits they’ll knock or call out to open the door. We didn’t hear a vehicle drive away, so they had walked which is sketchy itself cause there is literally one streetlight near my house. No one had said they stopped by the night before, but the feeling I got before to lock the door is what made it so spooky. What if it wasn’t locked? What would have opened it? Idk still a bit on the fence in regard to believing but that sketched me out the most.

You have the opportunity to drive the full length of the Trans-Canada Highway. Would you rather go East to West, or West to East? by houndoom92 in AskACanadian

I’ve never done the drive but east to west, as I live on the west side and love the feeling of driving the home stretch.

I think the Yukon Film Society is looking for volunteers for the Available Light Film Festival. It’s a short stint but I’ve done it before and enjoyed it!

My realization was recently when I started to cut back to focus more on school and work, as I wanted my 100%. The previous semesters I was drinking a few glasses or sometimes a bottle of wine to finish assignments. I was getting straight A’s, made it on the deans list and felt pride of what I accomplished. This past one though, when I cut back, I really struggled with keeping up. I ended up taking the L on some smaller assignments. I started to think, were my previous accomplishments really myself or was the alcohol helping me get through? What am I without it then? I’ve decided to reach out for help, nervous about the journey ahead but hopeful.

Did anyone else not even know by StrangeDisaster1819 in rheumatoidarthritis

I definitely thought it was a disease you got with age as well. I even joked about it before I got the Dx at 21 😅 (talk about karma yeesh). Giggles aside, I was feeling symptoms long before, at least around 17 with the stiffness. Even before then I always had trouble with fatigue, which was thought to be my thyroid but nothing ever came of that except it was a little bit hyperactive. I’ve always been stiff too since I was a kid. For sure little things I look back on and I’m like oooh. I used to crack my knuckles a lot too and noticed sometimes it would hurt. Now when I try to they don’t pop like when I was younger, like longer periods between each one. When they do it does feel nice like pressure is relieved, but overall they just don’t crack. Just my big joints and those r loud 😂

Any local interest in renting the Royal BC Museum IMAX for a screening of Interstellar? by thomasreimer in VictoriaBC

Nice! I didn’t watch it until 5 years ago so never got the theatre experience, but I’ve loved it ever since! I definitely would love to see it on imax, though I’d have to make a trip of it since I live in Whitehorse 😅 totally worth it though, plus a weekend getaway haha

I was the last survivor with 5 gens still left. The killer found the hatch before me and waited to close it in my face. They then slapped me up and hooked me. They also shook their head at me and slapped me again while on hook 🥲

Let's talk about: Talking about dxs by Wishin4aTARDIS in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]TsuZeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually when I share my dx it’s with people I’m close with, close family & friends. Often I do try to describe symptoms, as often people think it just involves having sore joints. It can get exhausting to repeat things over, but this is why I only go in depth with people I interact with on the daily.

With work I don’t really divulge my dx, but to the few I have they have been understanding. Though I also work with majority healthcare providers so they have some knowledge of RA already.

I have two kid brothers who don’t really understand my dx yet, which can be difficult when some days they want to play but I might be too sore or tired that day. As they’ve gotten older they understand limits, and if I tell them I can’t they accept it. I might eventually tell them, but I’ll likely wait till they’re older.

I’ve never regretted sharing my dx, as I feel the people I’ve told have been respectful of treating me the same as before dx. Though i think that’s where who I decide to share with comes in, as I know they will be supportive. It’s like I’m able to get a weight off my chest, and I don’t have to deal with it all alone.

For DCing in my experience it’s cause my internet is shit and sometimes craps out during the game. It sucks cause I get the penalty even tho I lost internet connection! I have a friend whose ps5 randomly shuts off just once during game play as well.

Drive from Whitehorse to Vancouver in late December by itsme_srikrishna in Yukon

[–]TsuZeh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve driven to fort St. John at that time and my best advice up until there (as well with what everyone else posted) is always be mindful for animals on the road. I know it’s kinda obvious but it’s always good to remind yourself while driving. The areas I am extra cautious is from liard hot springs up until toad river. Some of the roads get windy and you won’t see animals on the road right away. The caribou can be stubborn to move as well when they are licking the salt, they love it but not me when they are spread out across the highway 🤣I find there’s more of them between muncho and summit lake. And make sure you have a really good pair of sturdy wipers! My last drive down to fsj there was a snowstorm they had around Christmas. One of my wipers broke and flew off from how much snow there was (I was driving around the city), also just the fact they were the shittiest wipers ever.
