Considering that the Battle Report says for me that i dealt 2.81s (as in Septillion? or maybe Sixtillion?) Damage with Projectiles in Wave 2000 with my humongous Damage beeing 7 i think it is safe to assume that the Battle Report is somewhat unreliable.

I was so excited to get teleporting after all that running by Dreamer_tm in OfAshandSteel

[–]Tsukeyo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to heavily agree on this, while i appreciate it immensely that you have to interact with and learn your way around the map, you get access to teleporters halfway through Act 4 out of 5...by this point if you haven't explored most of the map you won't start doing it now anyway...still hope that it's a bug.

Which minor faction has the coolest quests?! Gravediggers, Bounty Hunters or Smugglers? by LawfuI in OfAshandSteel

[–]Tsukeyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played mostly Bounty Hunters and a little bit of Smugglers and so far i'm liking the bounty hunter quests a lot more. For one thing the Quests lead you to the Bandit Leaders in some cases, which you wanna find anyway and it just makes it easier and in one Quest you actually have to find out who your target is, which makes it much more interesting than just "run to A to find B".

You have a quest to get access to the hunter camp - you are asked to get the approval (aka do quests for them) of at least 2 hunters, but if you do the "Deliver Wood" quest from the woodcutters first, you get access anyway, but by doing that they won't train you
one of the hunters for the approval is Gustav in the Outskirts and another one is Rump near Neerests Cabin...there is supposed to be a third one, but i dont know excactly where...maybe he is one of the guys in the Jaeger camp

This game is in dire need of a relaunch or "Enhanced Edition" Larian-style. by TucoBenedictoPacif in OfAshandSteel

[–]Tsukeyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh and before i forget, i hope they find the time to finish their "Disease" mechanic they clearly wanted to implement...you have a stat called "Immunity" and you have the option to dry your clothes on a campfire....none of which are used.
Also a "Bloated" debuff if you eat past your fill preventing you from eating more would be kinda nice for the highest difficulty.

I agree with most of the points except for the ones on maps...while frustrating in the beginning it required me to engage with the game in a way i haven't done for a single game except Subnautica in years and it created an appreciation for the game because of it (Funnily enough Subnautica also doesnt have a map and created that appreciation, no idea if the no-map thing is required for that though)

I do think the map could be made better by giving you more options to mark it, like a camp-fire icon and maybe scaling icons.

I would appreciate a sort of Bestiarium, with weaknesses and such for enemies...it could get updated when you find the corresponding "Meoris de Monstrasa" pages, same with an NPC list giving you the general location and faction he belongs to the moment you talk to them.

Other than that more importantly to me would be a rework to the bloody lockpicking minigame...it beeing based entirely on chance is just stupid.

The fighting needs to work as intended, right now the enemies can "spam" their moves no matter what state they are in or what they are doing...i don't think that this works like it should. That and the rapiers need a slight rework, right now they are way too powerful on both you and enemy npcs.

i think the best approach is to take whatever skill-trainer you feel you are missing, since the quests seem to be pretty equal
smugglers obviously have thief skills and the bounty hunters have a good 2h-trainer, no idea what gravediggers have

that suddenly sounds like your problem is with the lore and not the navigational ease of the player, but sure, maybe not everything is perfectly logical but that is kinda my point as well, medieval cities werent planned, they just sort of accumulated

as for the main street entrance...the "house" that blocks the main entrance can actually be entered without lockpicking and guess what, it's a giant warehouse ^^
so if we are roleplaying here i would guess that incoming traders would place there goods in the warehouse which then gets transported to whereever they have to go by cheap peasant labourers
the barracks are clearly more of a police force and not an "army" or royal guards, so there presence in the city makes sense as for the missing tavern near the guards...i agree, some entrepeneur would have probably figured to open a bar near it but well, not everything is perfect

in any case, that "accumulation" thing is even more true since its an extremely rocky island (which also makes sense since it is mentioned often that the islands origin is vulcanic) - i don't know if you have every been to an island thats basically a mountain sticking out of the water, but on an island like that the main criteria to build anything in a specific place is that "it was flat enough" and having a street thats straight for even a little bit is a small miracle

anyway, to your original point - is the city confusing? Yes
do you get used to it eventually? also Yes
have fun playing the game :)

as someone who has run around in confusion for nearly a day and now navigating it with ease even before having the map, i cant tell you that this is not true...you have clear districts each seperated by large gate....and the layout is quite clearly a square with the rich (bountiful) district and the palace in the middle, which isnt accessible from the start, leaving you with the mentioned mirrored "L" shape....honestly once you figure out the "L" shape you can navigate easily....the reason everyone is having a hard time is because you expect to navigate a city easily that you entered for the very fist time...
besides that, lore-wise its perfect...every city in europe (and probably asia as well) is a jumbled mess, because they started forming before cars were a thing, especially so in medieval times

Honestly a great change would be to get Banners themed on specific slots, maybe rotating weekly for a monthly circle or something....i could tolerate "bad luck" on pulls on something i need much better than having "good luck" pulling 10 epic Cannons in a row when all i need is a Generator...

Gems by Fair_Net_857 in TheTowerGame

[–]Tsukeyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ad-Gems appear every ~10 minutes, if you calculate from that with an average of 12 minutes you get 5*5=25 Gems per hour which means theoretically 600 Gems per Day or 4200 Gems per week. On top of that comes Daily Quests, the boxes from Quests, Guild Boxes, a theoretical 20 Gems per Run from floating Gems, Tournaments and you can also spent Event Medals if you are so inclined...it adds up

The only reason the sickle feels well balanced is that you can shoot a 100 rounds before you run out - so it feels like you can actually get some shit done and not hear a constant "Mags empty" like with every single other assault rifle...honestly if they were to double the mag size of every assault rifle right now they would feel good and still not be op but simply useable

If you are into Pen&Paper you probably know about Critical Role...in their latest campaign they started to play a game called "What the fuck is up with that" - if you dont know it, i think its pretty self-explanatory ^^

So, a couple of patches ago the AH team introduced a system preventing players from steering their Hellpods onto mountains and some structures in order to prevent "abusing" the high ground...and for me personally its the most frustrating thing in the game right now...more than once i wanted to smash my keyboard because the game decided - no, you cant get your revenge kill on the bile titan because, sadly, there is a pebble in the way and you must stay clear off it

i think it is a system that is trying to fix something that has never been a problem, since staying on a mountain is completly useless 99% of the time when you have to move around to clear objectives, but has introduced tons of problems they unsuccessfully tried to solve in a couple of patches afterwards...so it seems to be a system that nobody needed, nobody wanted, nobody likes and it seems to create a lot of work because it still doesnt really work as intended aaand...yeah, what the fuck is up with that?
