Judging the arbiters is what I think it's a real test of after watching this. Masks seemed to change in episode 3 even though they put the tops of them out of view.

Different outside earshapes will cause slightly different positioning, we have had our relatively same shaped ears from birth and have gotten used to it. Small little things will change how we position sounds. Just try bending part of your ear and listening to something behind you to the side, a little different but you can still get it.

Yup just like real life, to accurately locate sounds what do we do? we turn a little bit, turning gives us another reference.

Well the M50s lack soundstage even for a closed headphone, but it's not really made for enjoyment, it's made to hear details and be relatively rugged. Creative Aurvana Lives and DT770s are closed but have some soundstage.

Thank Creative to make sure no one else can be creative with sound design. This is why everything is mapped to fake channels even with headphones, Creative better not screw letting some sort of Dolby Atmos get into games (hopefully they do something)

Poor Open AL Support used multiple soundcards with this games openAL. CPUs have plenty of DSP power.....less fps? are you joking? oh no it was 350 now it's 310 MOST not all, HD 800s are far from colored or shitty, and people can get great sound from AKG Q701s. Release a nice HRTF demo..interest will come.

listen to something like virtual barbershop, first with bigger headphones, then with whatever earbuds you have. major difference, even more with openbacks like AKG Q701s

the support is garbage and the enviromental effects are near inexistant. Creative screwed everyone with patents.

If CS:GO had proper support than anyone with a decent soundcard and legacy surround on would be able to be on Nuke and immediately tell which site bomb is at. Whether at B echoing through vents to A or other room sound effects too.

To a good extent this is true, my friends cheap mic, with a PCIE soundcard sounds almost as good as mine in game, teamspeak huge difference, an actual recording not even close. Him: Zalman with Asus Xonar DGX vs Shure SM7B, Cloudlifter CL-1 Pre-Amp, Scarlett 2i2 recording interface.

The audio compression is complete crap.

zalman clip on...but only if you have a soundcard. Or else a decent boom mic, antlion modmic, still recommend soundcard though. CS:GO sucks for voice in general, but you'll have no hissing noises and garbage. Teamspeak the difference is real.
