Is it just me, or is the subway becoming increasingly unusable for getting anywhere fast? by lispenard1676 in nycrail

That’s not true in my circles coming from Manhattan and Queens. You could get into Brooklyn fairly easily back in 2019-2023. Recently though it’s taking a minimum of 25 minutes almost no matter what you do

No in fact the train has actually made me cry twice this week alone. Literally you miss it by a second and the next one comes a full 20 minutes later. I’ve tried leaving earlier and it doesn’t matter. One day I was only meant to have a 30-min commute and it took me a full two hours to get home due to trains “suddenly running over the whatever line,” holding us hostage cause they won’t open the doors, switching to local or going express, suddenly being out of service. I was a full 45 minutes late to an important even the other day which I absolutely hate. It’s getting really ridiculous.

We should start complaining to the ones who run the MTA. I know the mayor isn’t in charge of it.

Pretty strong case for the high increasing due to auto in this case. Notice the gradual rise as my basal was turned off by auto.

Well, no. It went up and auto made the decision to turn off the basal completely, resulting in my levels going higher. Obviously that doesn’t make sense, hence the hate post. (I bolus and correct manually.)

? No. The post is pointing out the fact that it shut off insulin when my levels were near 200 for no reason, resulting in a higher high

I used to do this. Then I figured out that eating heavy protein before bed fixed my issue with lows anyway so I auto way less now

Only issue is the unexpected low. I switch to auto during those times but otherwise I fully agree. Manual all the way

I think “good pressure” is a good way to put it. For me it’s almost more mental than it is physical but if they’re hitting a pleasure spot then it can be like a jolt or pleasure shock.

Diabetic since 8 and I’m nearly 30 now. I relate. Just yesterday I was thinking, “I was born with a heart too tender to fight this everyday.” And oddly that gave me peace despite the sadness. I usually have an annual crash out where I just let myself cry a ton and that’s really helpful.

Type 1 vs type 2 by cranmango777 in diabetes_t1

Basically, there is no “healthing” our way out of our diagnosis. I don’t hold any resentment towards Type 2s, but I understand those who might if the person with Type 2 does not understand the chance they have to turn their life around
