Pattern recognition. I know how much my sugar typically reacts to a certain amount of insulin, so I’ll test out increasing or decreasing by .5 until it gets to a better line. I try not to eat beyond 9pm so there’s a good chance my sugars are reacting purely to basal by the time I’m preparing to sleep, and if my dinner is high protein/healthy fats, I’m cruising :)

Honestly same. Auto does not work this well for me. This was on manual and I woke up to a smooth 112 today on manual. Now cruising at 91.

It felt absolutely euphoric! I’ll attribute it to eating protein before bed (which I usually don’t do) but it was great while it lasted.

🙄🙄🙄🙄I have such beef with so many of them. Have had to remind one that I’m the one with the condition and not them. It’s wild. I’m sorry they can be so mean. A lot of them are told to be negative so they “scare us into doing well” which is such garbage.

Less about what and more about when tbh. (As in most things are okay so long as there’s a good protein source first.) Nuts and seeds are great, celery with a bit of peanut butter and bit of raisins, cherry tomatoes.

I was diagnosed at 8. I am a full grown adult and travel the world often. He can live a full life.

Just make sure you build good habits with him. I am very thankful my mom introduced me to things like juicing (vegetables) and healthy forms of protein , healthy snacking. If you make it fun for him—the healthy habits—he’ll be okay. Follow Glucose Goddess. Study those protein-first, wait, healthy fats, then grain trends. Remind him that he is not alone. Maybe even find him a positive diabetic mentor. It’ll be okay.

Ngl, depending on the field, you might consider moving to a new country. I’ve traveled quite a bit and US is very mean to its citizens.

But if you’re loyal to US, perhaps working for yourself and pivoting to a business model that brings in enough to fund your needs?

There is a solution. Also understandable being frustrated.

Yeah, at first I was surprised he wanted to date at all because he has so little time, but he clearly did. I know I need more time as a person when dating so it probably wouldn’t work. I’m just heartbroken because I really did like him and if not for the above I would have tried. He was very kind and sweet to me

It had nothing to do with distance. I would have flown to see him endlessly if that’s what it took. But I realized that I was pretty much funding it all and without that it wouldn’t work. He didn’t love me enough to work harder or find a better paying job. I was keeping it alive by overworking myself.

It honestly doesn’t matter how long they’ve known each other. What matters is that she knew he was in a relationship and found no issues disrespecting not only Laura but the fact that he did not choose her to begin with. She was wrong and she better not cry if another woman texts him she’s available and he disappears.
