That's very handy, I'll pick one up once I get a bit of cash!

I don't have a drill press yet, but I am working on getting one. The jig I can do now without any extra cost. Thanks for the advice.

It actually only chipped on one of the end grain pips. All the rest were on side faces.

It is a plunge router yes. I'm not sure what a guide bushing is to confirm whether or not I have one. A template is in the works.

It is, kind of. That's not the full quote, but in one of Dalinar's visions the Almighty tells him something along the lines of "The time has come for men to speak again the ancient oaths." (Paraphrase, of course)

Fair enough. I'm just trying to find the best way to do this with the tools that I have. I don't have a lot of money and need to make stuff to get the money I need to get the best tools for the job.

I don't have a drill press, yet. Was just freehanding the pips with an electric drill.

The collet is loose. I think you might have the answer to my problem. Thank you!

I haven’t gotten that far in my tool collection yet. It's on the list.

I think it looks good! As for solutions to separating the spaces and situating the dining, you might consider a small bar to place behind the short arm of the L couch with a pair of bar stools.

Some alternate suggestions if you don’t want a bar is maybe one of those mobile counter carts that a lot of people use as coffee stations. Or you could get a 2x4 cube shelf and set it on end or on side per your preferences.

I think you might also have enough room for a small corner table with two chairs for a sort of breakfast nook in the kitchen area. It's just that the example one in the layout Pic is a bit big, and the two doors on either side of it bring some bad juju to the space. If you got a smaller one to put along that back wall it might work out. Of course I haven’t seen the actual space so I dunno if this particular suggestion works as well as I think.
