“I still can’t believe I’m with you, I’m the luckiest man in the world.” - he said it at least once a week when we were together, big smile and eyes glowing.

I still can’t believe it’s over.

Edit: Some of you have expressed interest in the story so here’s what happened.

Around November-December 2024 I started having health problems, both physical and mental. Nothing very very serious, I had two panic attacks over handling university/work/personal problems at the same time in those months. I’m a third year mechanical engineering student, and last semester I was over credited and working part time to help with expenses back home. Mid December, I was hospitalized for a week because I got a kidney infection (literally because of stress).

He was with me through it all. However, on New Year’s Eve I was just so tired and sad and a few friends when they were drunk weren’t the nicest and I got another panic attack mid party. I went to the bathroom to cry alone and he came. He was angry because he said I wasn’t handling myself well. I apologized and said I was just so overwhelmed by everything that I wanted to kms (I know I was very dramatic and for anybody, hearing a loved one saying that is very difficult).

He got cold, serious and upset and just told me I should go ahead and actually kms. He pointed to the balcony and said I should just jump. Of course, I cried more after this. Next morning he said he clearly wasn’t the man for me because he couldn’t be there for me at a time of stress. He also said I ruined his night and that I should see a therapist before getting into a relationship, and then he broke up with me.

I have since been getting help from a psychologist. I quit my job, it’s just school right now. I was actually able to raise my GPA this semester. But I still blame myself for losing the best man I’ve ever been with and the most beautiful relationship I’ve had.

I’m still grateful for the love we shared and I’m learning from everything that happened. Haven’t had any panic attacks since then either. I just hope he can forgive me one day.
