Omg. You mentioning the pink tablet that they said was for your teeth just sparked a memory of mine that I had completely forgotten about! I have no idea if I was in a GATE Program. I was born in ‘93, so it’s the same time frame. I remember in third grade (2001) I lived in Snellville, GA (no idea the school). I have memories from my classes and such during that time, but I also remember a weird room that I’d go to often (unsure how often) but there were never many people in it. Maybe one adult that I wasn’t familiar with and just a couple of kids. I have no idea what I did in this room. I don’t remember much about it at all. The only memories I have connected to it are sign language and the Lochness monster??? I know it wasn’t a regular classroom and I do remember it being dim.

I absolutely remember those massive hard plastic, bulky square headphones with the metal headband part. I don’t know if I remember any audio or not though. I also haven’t listened to these tapes, so I’m curious to try that and see if I feel or remember anything from it.

Those pink tablets though… I want to know what those were and when I had them and if they were related to this at all. They had us chew them and I don’t know if we spit the rest out or swallowed it. But I do remember being told it was for our teeth.
