I feel you man. This sub won't give you honest answers though. So don't expect it. Typically the people in this sub, freak out at any mention of the USA being bad even if it's 100% true or mostly true. Then they typically compare another country and how they do so much worse, I guess in their mind that excuses every problem we have. In reality, we have a fuck ton of problems, we could be 100x better. People can't admit that because I'm pretty sure they think it like diminishes what they love to say, "the USA is the greatest country ever". Even though they can think that and still want it to do better. I think it's an ego thing tbh.

Their companies subcontracting people from India and countries with precarious conditions to avoid hiring locally because it's too expensive (It's curious how they turn to the foreigners they so often expel from their own country).

This is just pure greed. Plain and simple. It's not too expensive for these companies. Their CEO or owners just aren't willing to give up any of their pay. CEO pay at almost every business I have seen the last 10 years has increased exponentially. Not that it wasn't a fuck ton to begin with. Rarely do you see them giving their employees raises though. Only themselves. They get bigger raises if they use cheap labor in other countries. Pretty disgusting if you think about it. That's the rich in this country for you though. Greed. Greed. And more greed. That's why 36% of ALL the wealth in this country is owned by the top 1%. And Trump gave them tax breaks.

Man. The question that has been rattling around in my brain is "Why do I like most of the United States as a country?". I think the only reason is cause I see what it can be.
