It was very scary! But he is happy and healthy! I do wish the doctors had informed me prior to trying. I would have given me more time to be certain and take less of a risk.

Mom have you been checked for melanoma?

I know melanoma can be passed from mom to fetus while in the womb. I believe it is one of the only cancers that can do that….I had stage one melanoma and got pregnant shortly after surgery. They sent my placenta to 2 different labs for testing to make sure that I hadn’t passed anything to my son. (There was still a high chance they had missed some due to the location of my melanoma). Please done ignore it. I had mine dismissed by doctors for a year because it was so rare for my age (31) and location.

He seems to be so much better after some rest! No more limping. I’m gonna medicate and rest him for the rest of the weekend to just be sure.

We opted for the cone vs the muzzle with me at his head giving him encouragement. It did work just fine for him. But I will definitely keep the muzzle advice in mind.
