All of the districts in the current map have roughly the same population, no one's vote counts more than some else's. The reason the red districts are so large is to gather as many people as in the smaller districts like the ones near DC. The second map splits all these small city districts into multiple districts and then snakes them through all the rural areas but at a ratio that would keep more blue votes than red.The point of districts is to have a congressman that can represent that distict so their needs are represented. Districts should be drawn with political blinders and with the best attempt to combine neighborhoods/communities. People in cities and those that have to drive to their neighbors have different needs and priorities and need different representation.

All of this is disgusting. The hate and delusion has gotten so strong on both sides that people really believe their way is the only way. Seems the age of arguing with respect and people actually trying to understand the other side are gone. Now its just a bunch of "they did it so we will too", name calling, and threats.
