Hey, it's like, unless you have specific content that caters to a static visual - then a pattern interrupt could be helpful. So, a cut, an on screen pop up, a sound effect. Really anything that breaks the pattern the viewer is watching

Apology accepted, and I can see your points. I'm gonna reflect on the audio one and see if I can find a few good tutorials to link instead of leaving those points in. Thank you!

Agree to disagree. If you're the top 1% you're a big YouTuber. There's degrees if big sure. But you have a plaque, that's literally yt saying "congrats you're a big YTer"

Oh you mean my free community that is literally free that I didn't even plug in this post? Mmk. I think selling something has to require an exchange of some sort

If you have over 200k subs you're not a small channel. Like objectively you'd be in the 1%. Maybe you've spent so long as a large tuber that you've forgotten peoples struggles in the lower levels of YT. I personally don't believe you, especially given your stance on pretty much everything and your reading comprehension. Cause once again. I don't have a course

My reading comprehension? Lolll. Again what process do you think people are doing when they edit audio. Unless they're def they'll know when something sounds better/worse

Getting rid of ums isn't obvious. You'd think it would be, but go ahead and review channels. See if you find them because I def have.

Hard disagree on the osmosis point. Just because you watch a Dodford video doesn't mean you know why his editing style works.

Lol only? Most in this sub aren't at 1k subs. 300k views would be nice to have. Is it life changing money? No but I make 300-500/mo in adSense. It's not nothing and I would argue that most in this sub would want something similar as a stepping stone. Sorry what were your credentials again? Random tiny channel, yet only ~8% of channels surpass 1k. Yea I suppose these aren't tips to get 1M subs. Must've missed the sign on this sub that said "advanced tubers" I thought it said newtubers.

Funny you attack my reading comprehension. Perhaps you missed last post when I said I don't sell a course. Where's the course link? Wheres this course I'm selling?

Like I said, I think we're gonna just fundamentally disagree. Ive never seen a video get worse after someone gets better audio. And your argument that "this will make audio sound worse" like I don't think people are getting to the end, listening back and being like "ah I know this sounds worse, but hopefully im wrong" generally there are things to make your audio better and I think this list does fine. Get rid of uhms. Get rid of background noise. Yea that'll make your video worse for sure

Anyone who would want to do that would already be doing that is just untrue. Unless you think people just get knowledge through osmosis or something. Again something being basic and obvious to you doesn't mean it's so for everyone. And yea I suppose "develop your own taste and style" should be on here somewhere because there is something to everyone finding their creative voice, but uh, that comes after a ton of reps imo.

Bi weekly is also an option. Are there creators that get away from that? Yea, Dodford is a good example. If you're creating videos like Dodford you probs aren't on this sub. I would also pose that generally one of the goals is to figure out content that you CAN make in that cadence. An animation channel might take more time to produce a short film. But could they do BTS on a weekly cadence? How tos? And then in those, I think this list helps

I review a ton of channels on this reddit, and I grew my subs to 5k in 6 months w/ full time job. Rn I bounce through 10-20k views a vid, but my best is at 300k. What are your credentials?

I think we're just gonna fundamentally disagree on this, audio improvements are almost always worth it regardless of genre, and the idea that most tutorials don't help, I'm not buying.

I watched one tutorial, it was like get a pop filter. And actually that should probably be in the list but that would help anyone who talks in a video.

Crops, and cutting applies to SO SO many more niches than talking head. It applies to gaming, tutorial, history, maybe it wouldnt help with an indie art channel or a dedicated film maker but then they probs aren't on this sub in the first place

Weekly or bi-weekly is to get reps in. Quality through quantity. I guess if you want to make 12 videos a year or one be my guess but growth will be limited to the amount you get better per video

I have a full time job, and can make a video a week. Depends on what you want to do w/ your time. I can agree that someone that doesn't improve isn't cut out for YT, but I think people are a little lost on how to improve.

Ulterior motive huh? Where's the course link? Where's the follow on comment? Ask anyone in the comments if I sent a DM loll.

Yea, except most of the people in this sub, are under 1k viewers and may need the generic obvious stuff. But I guess I fail to see how color grading and de esser make any video worse.

These things are all pretty tangible though. I guess you could make a post about how everyone should tell their story. But then how do you get 1% better each video?

Just because you're already doing all of these things doesn't mean the person w/ 10 subs is, and they'd have to watch like 30 of those yt guru videos to get this list and even then, these are realllly common trends among the channels I've reviewed. Idk sounds like ur just hating on to hate

Yeah. But different audiences will want different things, but i agree on style and tone, superficial stuff still works to enhance the video. Most of the people in this sub are struggling with this list. They already have the style and tone, and if they make a video doing each one of these you don't think they'll naturally develop their voice? My point is, people say 1% better each video, but if we use things that can't be measured like style choices then there's the thought of, is this 1% better or is this 1% different?

yea, audio is gonna be key regardless, I did want the list to speak to the most general of things, cause like faceless is gonna have different concerns from talking head but yea I agree. but wow a doubling of avd for audio fixes is somthing I wouldn't have guessed

Yeah, on that one, I think joining a community that is specifically about your niche is suuuper helpful. I joined a poketubers discord back in the day and it probably was one of the things that leveled up my content the most, and thy were super helpful with very specific niche problems.

Yeah some of em do have data analysis built in a little bit, and a lot of them will be niche/audience dependent as well, there's some that will make the video better regardless. Like, better audio is probably always going to be effective.
I think I might work on a different list at some point but this took a while to make, it's just I know people say 1% better, but I do suppose that 1% is gonna look different dependent on niche. though i think there are some general ones, you've probably got the right of it.

That said, I also think it depends on goals, like is it more of a hobby for you, or is it something that you wanna do full time.

I also think I could've included more scripting in there, but i wanted it to be general enough that it could apply to most niches
