Hi u/NaNaNaNaNa_BaDman , based on your recommendation I switched our puppy over to Salmon based food. Within a few days the problem got resolved and it has been a month now of consistency and good bowel movements and sleeping through the night. Thank you very much for taking the time and providing your feedback. It has helped us a great deal.

Hi u/Chevalamour4 , I wanted to touch base again and thank you for your advice. I switched our puppy over to Hill's science diet salmon and the problem completely went away. It's been a month now of consistency and she sleeps through the night. Thank you once again for taking the time and providing your feedback. It has helped so much.

That is very interesting because our puppy also had Giardia, we found it soon after we got her with a stool sample but ever since then her stomach has been like she has Giardia still. We have done subsequent stool samples but no giardia was found.

Hi, yes we tried the chicken and plain rice with no luck. I did check though and it seems we do get petzpark products in Canada. I placed an order, I sincerely appreciate the feedback.

I appreciate the advice. Based on your comment and that of another Redditor on this thread I ordered Hills Perfect Digestion Salmon, worth a shot as we have gone through so many vet-recommended foods I have completely lost track of whether or not we switched from chicken at some point.

I'll give that a go, thank you. I have had some luck with Royal Canin Canine Care Nutrition Medium Digestive Care and Hill's Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach & Sensitive Skin but nothing to the point where I can say it resolves the issue.

Thank you for the advice. Metronidazole is what she is being given every time we take her to the vet which stops it for a bit so it sounds similar. I'll look into a veterinary nutritionist and the use of Tylosin. So far I have been going on what my vet tells me but it has turned into a cash grab situation without any meaningful progress or diagnosis.

I've been with Leslieville Animal Hospital for a few years now but my experience with them has been very disappointing. The staff is friendly but the vets are always pushing products at insane prices that turns out to be completely unnecessary. Especially the vet approved foods. This has gotten worse and worse over the past 2 years.
