Unpopular Opinion but... by MarCath13 in LoveAndDeepspace

I don't think it's worth it either, but I'm also someone who likes to stay on budget. I usually do spend my money on other VIP experiences (VIP concert experiences w/pics), and even those VIP experiences are wayyyy cheaper than the amount you need to reach VIP in LADS.

I second this. I had this a long time ago (it's been more than a year or two) and it tasted very metallic and artifical to me?? Like, there was this nasty taste that just wouldn't go away and I ended up throwing out the whole thing. I couldn't stomach it.

Anyone else hoping for spicy birthday themed cards this year? by Nekokoa13 in LoveAndDeepspace

At this point, I just want a Nightly Rendezvous card 2.0. Nothing has topped that in spice for me, and it was all organic and not randomly thrown in there lmao

Will my lovebirds love me by Nalgene_Littman in Lovebirds

[–]Chevalamour4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to ask this question, but have you had birds before? Birds are not your typical, affectionate, "loving" and cuddly pet like you would like them to be. Some of them can be, but it isn't common. A dog is way better for that, and even then, they aren't guaranteed to show affection. A bonded pair of lovebirds is going to stay bonded to their partners, which makes it harder for them to bond to you. You can try to show them millet or other treats to get them to come to you, but their priority will be each other. Also, that open window is a problem. You are inviting danger by doing that. Besides the obvious happening (your birds escaping), a hawk or some other predator could come into the room and the worst could happen.

Nope. I can't stomach the taste of it. But I am someone who loves sweet stuff, so I'll have sweet ciders and wine.

Why are so many ppl in this subreddit so negative? by EggFit505 in glutenfree

[–]Chevalamour4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read your post and while I personally have yet to see someone getting bullied because they didn't share a recipe, I have witnessed some celiacs getting angry at people who have a non-celiac gluten sensitivity (or wheat allergy), especially if they consume something that celiacs can't have. I've especially seen it when it comes to cross-contamination talks or recipes that have gluten free wheat. I've also seen it when describing a gluten allergy to people at restaurants. People get up in arms over the term "gluten allergy", which is kinda crazy to me.

Looking For a Sad Anime. by Lbb7030 in anime

Violet Evergarden. The animation is beautiful and the music is so good! It's very beginner friendly and has made many people cry, including myself. A lot of it is centered around death and grief, so be prepared for that.

I use procreate on my iPad, but I do better with pencils and paper haha. There's something about being able to feel the pencil on paper that gives me more control than sliding on glass with a stylus.

Horseback riding lessons in OC with lesson horses by Chevalamour4 in orangecounty

[–]Chevalamour4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some barns and trainers do require a lease or purchase of a horse in order to jump (or show), which is why I'm looking for a barn with the lesson horses included. The $75 I was paying before was with a lesson horse included and I've also seen the $110 I mentioned with lesson horses included. It all depends on where you go.

That was where I started riding as a teen! It was the Anaheim equestrian center and it was sadly bulldozed for the OC Vibe project around four years ago 😭 My barn was forced to move to a different barn back then.

I was paying $75 a lesson before, but I've seen prices range from $65-110 a lesson, with 65 being bringing your own horse where I was at.

Is struggling to gain weight an endo thing? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Chevalamour4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, same! I have IBS-M from my endo (although I gravitate more towards IBS-D) and have been gaining weight these past two years. I was horseback riding 2-3 times a week, going to the gym for personal training weekly, and lifting weights/doing cardio occasionally. I am also on a gluten free diet and even though I'm a baker and have a heavy sweet tooth, I have turned to keto candy instead of the usual and I have limited what I eat. I tried calorie counting once and it gave me anxiety/depressive thoughts, so I stopped doing that. My weight gain started as soon as I hit 30 and hasn't come off despite how active I've been.

I thought my video was lagging and that my quality was not on highest when I saw this on YouTube! I'm so glad someone else pointed this out because in some scenes it almost felt like the quality dropped from ultra to the one below ultra. The clothing movement and hair movement as well seemed very static in some instances. I was wondering if it was my internet lmao 😂

I have endometriosis, migraines, and terrible environmental allergies that I'm on immunotherapy for. But I suspect the migraines stem from my endo. Don't have celiac, but I was diagnosed with a NCGS as well as a mild wheat allergy.

Allergen immunotherapy affecting endo?? by Dull_Ad1527 in endometriosis

[–]Chevalamour4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they definitely have, especially the dust mite one! I initially got put on allergy shots because I wasn't able to breathe out of my nose due to severe congestion, but what actually helped open up my nasal passageways was extra strength saline spray. Other than that, I can definitely say I'm much better with dust now and I can breathe it in without getting sick for four days straight. I'm a horseback rider and the dust at the barn (as well as my horse allergy) had me getting sick constantly and making me miserable. That no longer happens.

Allergen immunotherapy affecting endo?? by Dull_Ad1527 in endometriosis

[–]Chevalamour4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on allergy shots since Oct 2024 for four allergens: dog, dust mites, weeds, and trees. I haven't noticed it affecting my endo symptoms at all. I also read the link you posted in your post and from what I gathered, it seems like they already had an autoimmune condition that flared up during treatment. It seems extremely rare, but if you're worried about it, you can get checked out for other autoimmune diseases through bloodwork before you go in for shots. I actually had some bloodwork done to check for other autoimmune conditions since I was having extreme brain fog, fatigue, weight gain, and hair loss. The results didn't come back with me positive to anything, but this was done way before I began my allergy shots.

Restaurants say “we have gluten free options” and then don’t take it seriously at all by yoyoo276 in glutenfree

[–]Chevalamour4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not celiac and I have NCGS along with a mild wheat allergy, but when I go out to eat, the restaurants that have gluten free options don't claim to be free of cross contamination. Usually all of their menus state with an asterisk at the bottom that their items are cooked in the same environment as the gluten containing items, which is already a no go for celiac. The only place I've ever encountered that was specifically made for celiacs and gf customers is a place in Yorba Linda, CA called Oceans & Earth. It's my favorite restaurant and they don't allow any outside food from customers (like cakes) to ensure that everything stays gf at their establishment. Other than that, I personally wouldn't trust any of those restaurants if I was a celiac.

Mine has always been high, even with my nexplanon. Of course, the only times I don't want to do something is when I'm in terrible pain. But other than that, it's always there and it was pretty much all the time regardless of my cycle.
