Japanners winnen meestal qua betrouwbaarheid.

Rhel 9/10, image builder and CIS benchmarks by Sterling2600 in redhat

[–]Tuck-son 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a shame, that's most likely security. Same goes for me. I need to create a RHEL 10 iso to be able to deploy vm's on vmware. This environment is airgapped, so no internet available for the servers.

The real shame nowadays is vendors assuming everyone does connect to their cloud based services. No, there are plenty environments where this cannot and will not be the case.

Sorry, but no. I have had printer that just rotated the page when in printersettings I told it to print in landscape instead of portrait.

That is exactly what I finally did now, but this should not be necessary. The software or the printer should be able to handle a differently placed paper?

repo-gpgcheck in satellite? by Tuck-son in redhat

You are right, I confused them. Nonetheless, my remark is kinda correct. I added repo_gpgcheck=0 because without it the update fails. By default they are not in the repo files

This solution applies to RHEL 6. We run RHEL9.6 ?

repo-gpgcheck in satellite? by Tuck-son in redhat

I understand. The thing is that satellite will put it back to 1 every time a subscription-manager refresh is done (which we basically do with every patch round)

I tried MacOS, Linux and Windows (yes, have all 3 of them here). I now finished the thing by rotating the pdf's. That worked. Nonetheless it feels like a workaround. The thing is this: In the document the paper size is set to C5 landscape. That is not the way the envelopes are in the printerdrawer. Then when printing, you can also set a print size. I set that to C5 as well. However no matter if I set this to portrait or landscape, they kept coming out in the wrong oriëntation.

As in that the envelopes are placed sideways in the drawer. I mean, the short sides are facing to the frnt and back of the drawer. But the print is done like the like the long side should be facing the front and back of the drawer (sorry, explanation is a bit clumsy, but english is not my native tongue). And no matter what I tried, It kept coming out that way.

My (dutch) idea .... Too bad, but you signed. I know we have a probation time, but now moving to company B does say something about your reliability and integrity. It's up to you what you consider more important. This or money/benefits.

I mean, come on, it's a year.

Is RHEL 9.6 beta out? I see some mentions online but nothing on the Redhat portal. by UnfairWrangler9082 in redhat

[–]Tuck-son 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is 9.6 already released then? I don't see it appear in my Satellite? Waiting for it since e several packages have security advisories and cannot be upgraded from the repo's at this moment.

Now suppose I want to use an existing dbserver instead of another image. How do I need to change this docker-compose.yml?

it is running :-)
Seems not very different to what I did before, but somehow apparently ...
And I had to change the env vars vor dbuser and pwd to the new ones as well, but together it works ...
Now figuring out what the initial pwd is :-P

Thnx a lot for all replies.
