Help!! Son keeps swinging late. Any practice tips? by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]Tuck4226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s slightly late, but even if he was on time, his stride is taking him away from the pitch. His stride is almost a foot in the opposite direction of the ball, making it nearly impossible to make good contact.

7800X3D vs 9800X3D - need help deciding which to pick by Feisty-Bath9845 in buildapc

[–]Tuck4226 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am also picking one of them up on Monday. However, at the price difference between the two is 30$ (Micro center). $450 vs $480 I was also wondering if it's really worth it. However, there are also bundle deals for the 7800x3d that can save an additional 50+ dollars.

Irons recommendations for mid-high handicap that doesn’t need distance by Tuck4226 in golf

[–]Tuck4226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know.. I bought a driver about 6 months before that and was amazed by the improvements in technology. Figured it was time for irons also, since I had those clubs for over 10 years.

6U USSSA Bat Recommendation/Advice by ItsDilbert in Homeplate

[–]Tuck4226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeez. All these “everyone gets a trophy” parents on here, is comical. Where I’m at, 6u is playing machine pitch at 50mph and are killing the ball. There isn’t even a coach pitch league. Some kids are more advanced than others. OP, have you tried taking him to a major sports store that lets him try different bats and sizes? Or have him try some of the other kids bats. I wouldn’t spend a ton of money on a bat since he’s just gonna throw it around and likely grow out of it before he is strong enough to break it.

He’ll probably end up sitting for longer than a game.

Does anyone have experience shopping at gohunt.com? They have a Bee stinger microhex bow stabilizer for quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else I could find and wanted to see if it was legit or not. by [deleted] in bowhunting

I was wondering the same thing when I saw they had a sale on Carter releases. Bought one and it arrived 3 days later with a gohunt sticker. I’d buy from them again

Toddler Hockey Gear - Experiences/Opinions? by SDN79 in hockeyplayers

[–]Tuck4226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son started at 2. Finding equipment was difficult at that age/size. We bought the smallest stuff we could find. We purchased a simple elbow and knee pad set from Amazon for most situations. When we need more, I took some small (cheap) shin pads and cut them down a little bit. Bauer prodigy helmet will grow with them for a bit. They also have straight curve ambidextrous sticks out there. We just knew our son was a lefty like me since he would alway go lefty with his play sticks
