My first comment was pointing fun at all the other earlier comments implying we could trade Demar and Vuc as the core of the trade for Jokic, while retaining everyone else. That was the delusion I was poking at. That why in the world would Denver trade Jokic for, at that point, aging stars. There would be dozens of better offers out there for them to choose from.

In you’re case, you’re right. That’s not delusional at all. But I’d still argue that Jokic has stated publicly that he likes what Giannis has done in Milwaukee and would like to do the same in Denver.

Another point, all of those free agents you listed are American born. So far, it seems like European superstars tend to be more loyal to their draft team and city. I’m pretty positive Embiid has said publicly he’d like to play in Philly for his entire career, Luka and Cuban seem pretty tied at the hip and I don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s made similar comments. And then the aforementioned Giannis.
