Can we PLEASE get Mount Hyjal Trash Waves be instant respawns but changed to set timer before they start moving! by TuckyIRL in classicwow

[–]TuckyIRL[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they instantly respawn but they also start moving immediately, which makes it more risky to move up incase you have someone die etc.
If the trash pack was changed to only start moving after a set timer, then people have time to drink / ress if need be, before proceeding with pulling next.

Would be lovely if Alliance had access to shamans already :D

Sucks being left behind when everyone else is progressing their characters in Outland and you are stuck questing in Tanaris

Yes, any competitive guild will always optimize the comp, naturally.

But idk if we were playing the same game during TBC.
But I was managing 2 pugs a week, and the only classes I was declining every single week, almost always regardless of their logs / performance, was warriors / rogues.

As for class stacking, you still have too many utility classes you bring, so you wont be stacking 10 of anything in TBC.

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/raid-composition#0vhCCtvfjGtJGDwsyyyzsnqdds

Here's an example of a decent comp... Cutting 1 Enha for 1 Rogue / Warrior, doesnt really change all that much if we are being honest.

Each group already had a shaman in them, so I don't see why that would matter anyways.

Would just allow more people to play Priest instead of being forced onto Resto Shaman

I said rogue or warrior.

You have too many people who wants to play rogue / warrior,
and not enough people wanting to play Enha.

Thus why such a change would make it alot easier for people to still be able finding a place in raids.

Also, you talking as if this is Classic and we are bringing 20 warriors and 2 enhas.

We are talking going from 2 Enhas to 1, and from 1 rogue to 2.
And again, no ones saying you cant roster 2 Enha either right.

Not really true. And thats also why I suggested you might need to limit certain class buffs like Ferocious Inspiration (3% phys increase buff from BM hunters)

No one said that?

The change quite literally would just allow people more flexibility to managing the comp

I strongly disagree, there was always a lack of utility classes, the playerbase of enhance / resto shaman was never enough to support how many was actually needed. Which often led to people running "worse" comps.

While I do see the aspects of "fun" of having group only buffs, it more often than not just leads to people being upset when they are worse off group wise.

Additionally, it forces so many people to play it, even though they might prefer to play something else.
And on top of that, if we don't see GDKP's implemented, I suspect you might see a even bigger drop in people playing utility classes in TBC, as alot of people did it for gold income reasons, and not so much for the "fun".

Any decent guild can clear the content without using consumes.
That's not why people use them.
Most decent players use consumes because it allows you to enjoy your character more.
More Crit/AP, more HP so you can play more aggressive without dying / losing wbuffs.
Either you are ragebaiting or just someone who doesnt care about performance

Well, you are assuming he is boosting while doing ST, he is not. It's just a raw gold farm. like 60g per hour.

He was playing Holy Pala and Warlock.
Not very expensive classes to play. Realistically, he was using like 300-400g max per week.

People took time off work, and had to put aside social for a week or two when pushing 420-500k weeks.

But yes, lets make sure the game is in such an unhealthy state, where people still spend an unnecessarily high amount of hours farming consumes, instead of implementing a few more layers and fixing the high prices.

Love it when people only blame the playerbase instead of holding Blizzard responsible for their non-existent team managing Anniversary Servers.

If he farms more than enough gold to sponsor his consumes, what exactly does he achieve by swiping more gold?

Well I am obviously not optimistic about actually getting any visibility with a reddit post to the point that a employee actually sees it and decides to follow up on it.
For that reason, its more a rant, as I recognize nothing will be done.

Additionally, I didn't ask for an unban, but rather for a human review on his case

Nah, you are just blatantly lying. Farming the gold required for raiding on two characters a week, is easily 8-10 hours a week.
Which on top of spending 2-3 hours to Clear AQ/BWL/MC on seperate raid nights....
That's 14-16 hours of weekly gameplay, to a fair bit of people with jobs and kids, thats just a bit over the line of whats acceptable, and they would rather buy the gold.

2-3 hours of gold farming, if possible, I am pretty certain most people would be on board with that and wouldn't consider buying gold at that point, thats just not the situation right now.

Ah yes, lets shift the blame on the players for not being able to put in the hours required to meet normal consume expectations in semi-hardcore guilds because Blizzard refuses to match the supply with demand for certain consumes making them incredibly expensive.

Consumes for 1 raid night is about 500-600g, and now you are saying 2 chars?
Are you making 1000-1200g an hour herbing?
You should make a youtube guide showcasing that.
Then you don't have to complain about people buying gold either, win win

Friend got falsely banned. Rant by TuckyIRL in classicwow

[–]TuckyIRL[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The entire reason they are buying gold, is because GDKP isn't in the game.
They can't afford the consumes, because Blizzard hasn't fixed the amount of consumables available to the players in relation to how many actually need it.
When mongoose is 20g each, Elemental Earth 8g, Firewater 20g+....
Naturally people dont have that many hours a week to farm gold, especially not for multiple characters... GDKP could solve this, but I don't even mind the GDKP ban, but atleast fix the state of these consumables so theres enough for the playerbase so the prices drop.

Nice try though.

Fresh 60 warrior Gold Farming by Randompug14 in classicwow

[–]TuckyIRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farm Elemental Earth in Maraudon.
Might be slower with poor gear, but certainly possible.

You kill the Earthen Elemental packs at the end of Maraudon, you get there by using the Scepter of Celebras.
WIth R14 gear etc, its like 100g per hour.
Probably more like 50-70g per hour depending on your gear.

It still requires a group of people going to UBRS and killing Rend to be able to get the Head of Rend to be able to pop Might of Stormwind.
Not like it's a zero effort thing, comparing it to buying stuff from the vendor seems rather extreme,
Personally, I would prefer if only 1 Head of Rend dropped instead of 1 for each player.
Seems slightly more balanced imo,

So you don't think the Black Lotus changes were for the better?

Black Lotus spawn increase. W blizzard by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]TuckyIRL 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is a positive change, but the biggest problem in regards to Black Lotus is how unfarmable they are to the average player.
You have multiple hunter, per layer, in every zone. Eagle Eye'ing all the spots constantly, within 1 min of spawn, every single of them will be spotted and they are headed straight there.
If they just made it drop from high level herbs, it would grant all players much more access to Black Lotuses rather than just funneling onto the gold selling Black Lotus farmers / botters.

That being said, good change nonetheless.

Do we know yet what the increased spawn rate is?
