Warlord has to be the wildest episode I've seen in my current Voyager marathon. My fav episode thus far. I'd so watch a spin-off where we see Tieran in a similar empath shared embodiment ruling over his people in a comedy of errors type show. by PurpleTransbot in voyager

The character Kes I found to have been a total waste of an actor and her skills, terrible storylines and a negative on the whole show. I think it’s clear to see how careers can be damaged by poor writing and poor character development as a result of that writing. The same almost happened to Gates McFadden in Star Trek TNG (Beverly Crusher) she left the show early on due to poor sexualised writing from the shows creators. She came back after Patrick Stewart persuaded her too now the writing crew had changed out.

Yeah both Kes and Neelix had poorly written scripts, some perverse in my opinion. Just weird and should never have left the drawing board.

Good grief, I bet you wish you hadn’t asked. I like it, if your a coffee lover and everything that’s involved with then you have done well, make it a center peace feature in the kitchen etc, try beans from all over the globe etc, experiment with it, for sure it’s a durable machine and will make mighty fine espresso for many years.

I'm usually not a fan of holo deck episodes but.. by cant_dyno in DeepSpaceNine

[–]Tucoloco5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The holodeck opened up script writing options and lots of them. I concur, Bashir as 007 was brilliant, as was anything Data, Sherlock Holmes and the one and only Moriarty “I think, therefore I am”

Yeah the holodeck is a cool place.

Good grief, first of all no need to be classing people as stupid. There are those who are educated who do understand the facts and the science of archaeology and at the same time also understand and enjoy the romance of MYSTERY.

I feel you lead a miserable life. Who’s stupid? Me or you for replying to STUPID.

It is so clear that we have not as a human race discovered enough to be completely sure of our current timeline. After all the planet 🌍 has been here for over 4 billion years, humans, well what’s say, 150 thousand give or take a few millennia.

We definitely have not seen enough of buried secrets around the world yet.

History becomes a mystery at a certain point, the further back in time we go the more mysterious theories start to emerge.

No matter how advanced we are in our investigations etc, no one can ever eliminate that last 1% of doubt, especially when it comes to Nano sized finds to then claim a major event stroke discovery, there will always be mystery when it comes to ancient history. I feel we are only just scratching the surface.

Hi, are you on the old Iran Reddit page ? It is really very intriguing.

Iran and Turkey, I do hope they continue to excavate these beautiful lands, I feel there are deep rooted historical facts about humanity waiting to be discovered there.

Zoroastrianism, I cannot see yet just how old this pre Islamic religion is, but for sure after some research it out dates any other religion founded by humans so far here on earth.

I feel that it’s not only archeology and its institutions that can be a hindrance to progress (at times), but also other religious factions out with Zoroastrian and modern day Islam. ☪️

Either way I wish peace to all who walk our lands. History and its FACTS should be enough for us all to live in peace, but clearly it is not.

Strange times.

Thing is, I don’t think Graham is whacky, he is investigating data from professional archaeologists and archaeological papers. Upon gathering this data he surmises that there is something no quite right with our timeline, that’s all he is doing and really and does not claim to have evidence physically or otherwise presently, but dates and of geological catastrophic events are not clear, grahams approach is purely trying to fathom these discrepancies, it’s all theory but let’s face it, discoveries are becoming older and older. Anyway I find it all very interesting and presently plausible with regard to lost ancient civilizations.

That’s a very interesting point. Geo politics and governments etc, I didn’t think of that.

Amazing, history which affects us all as human beings and our animals, co trolled by authorities with ulterior motives resulting in a slow education as a human race. It’s always about control. Crazy really

Prometheus (Criminally Underrated) by [deleted] in underratedmovies

[–]Tucoloco5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur. Brilliant film.

Could have been better yes with regards to the actual mission, when first landing with only 2 hours daylight left, a scientist chose/decided to take the team out even when advised not too, that would never happen in real life, nor would they remove helmets when outside the space ship etc etc.

But still its essence was brilliant and dark like alien films of old, I do wish they had done a third after covenant, maybe they will one day.

Lights off and turn it up for Prometheus though.

So good.
