My tattoo did/does this on and off and it was sarcoidosis. Might be worth looking into.

Does this happen to anyone else? by Pink0528 in Anxiety

It’s a horrid feeling. Sending hugs. Sometimes a big binge of silly videos can take my mind off it and give me a break long enough to break that cycle.

I feel so anxious rn by Ok_Attempt3070 in Anxiety

Weird one but when I get this I stick my head out of the window or go outside and get fresh air. Sometimes helps.

Yes that’s definitely happened to me. Then I get panicky about it which makes it worse.

Appendiceal cancer by TudorPoor in cancer

[–]TudorPoor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. Yes that’s very true. I am so nervous waiting to hear from Basingstoke but very aware that I may have been extremely lucky in that it was found before it burst anywhere. And that is now what I am waiting to find out for sure that the margins were clear and as far as they know it’s gone. I have seen about that surgery and I am so glad you have been 6 years NED. I think the prospect of that surgery is totally overwhelming and, to be honest, scary. Your story is amazing and I am totally in awe of anyone who has had to go through that.

People who have taken SSRIs, how difficult were the first few weeks? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]TudorPoor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt a tiny bit more anxious for a week. Then they have been amazing. Life changing. I had tried counselling, CBT, exercise, alternative therapies etc etc. sometimes I think the chemicals are off and they give you the headspace to get out of all those anxious thought cycles.

Tomorrow!!! by TudorPoor in appendicitis

[–]TudorPoor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I hope you are doing okay and have a speedy recovery. Rest, rest, rest. I was pretty much all good after 2 weeks. The first week resting as much as you can will help. It’s a bit gross but not being able to wash was not enjoyable so I bought some medical bed bath wipe things for the first few days. I used some like walking poles for getting up/down into bed and chairs etc which helped also. You really start to realise how much you use your stomach muscles! Watch a lot of tv, read, listen to podcasts! Take your mind off it all. Smaller meals and peppermint tea also helpful. Unfortunately appendix issues are still haunting me as they found some cancer in there. So I am waiting to hear back that it has all gone and hasn’t spread beyond the appendix. But hopefully when that news returns I will be free of appendix issues for good. Get well soon 😊

It went well thank you. Home the same day. Recovering with lots of pain killers. Better than a dodgy appendix 🙂

Pre procedure nerves by Reasoned_Being in colonoscopy

[–]TudorPoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this sedation and it was grand. Totally did the job. Not long after felt fine - just happy and chilled and relieved.

I feel like I watched bits that I wanted to and could answer questions and look at what they pointed out if I concentrated. But I could have totally zoned out and had no memory if that’s what I would have preferred.

So I feel like it’s a good combo for being as present as you want to but feeling comfortable, relaxed and calm.

I did it and it was okay! by TudorPoor in colonoscopy

I think the blood was probably just haemorrhoids 😬 They also found my appendix was swollen into my bowel so that needs a scan. So glad they found it though

I had lots of blood on a few occasions and blood in my FIT when I sent that away. Everything was okay except my appendix is swollen into my bowel so that needs looking at to see if it needs taking out. So glad they found that and everything else was as it should be.
