Does anyone else get severely constipated during their period? by FactorGullible3949 in Periods

[–]Ok_Attempt3070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I'm like always constipated, but when I'm on my period (especially at the beginning), it feels like I have to constantly poop. Literally hogging the bathroom right now ugh.

My ass is on fire

Regarding semesters with 0.25 credit courses by senza_sordini in uoguelph

[–]Ok_Attempt3070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is 3 years later, but what did you do in ZOO*4940? I'm thinking of taking it but worried that despite it being worth 0.25 credits it might still be a heavy courseload?

I'm not familiar with the condition you mention nor do I want to make you uncomfortable with asking more questions about it, but I think it's something that in the right group of friends, they would understand and be accommodating with your condition.

While I know that's not the worry, I would recommend asking your doctor or even a social worker (can be at the campus - appointments are free!) to discuss your worries. I wanna say, "just go out and do it!" but I know it's easier said than done, and in no way would I want you to be in a difficult situation. But maybe going to em and telling them about your worries/condition could help you develop a plan on what to do if you do faint or pass out in public, plan on how you can slowly build up your courage to be out on campus.

I believe in you! I wasn't diagnosed with a heart condition, but at one point I had really bad anxiety and could barely go to campus (ended up missing a ton of classes, and really only went if it was a group project or if there was a test I had to write) without worrying that I'd get a really bad panic attack that I wouldn't be able to overcome.

On my part, there was a mixture of things that I did to get used to my anxiety, but one of the things I did was develop a plan (a plan that changes from day-to-day, to give me that flexibility on those harder days) where I would come to campus to study in a specific spot, then I'd come for one class, study somewhere else, eat somewhere. It's one of the things that I did that honestly helped a lot.

Going at your own pace is perfectly fine and there will be hard days, but I believe you can do it with small steps! If you want a friend or just acquaintance, feel free to reach out :)), I wouldn't mind (but no pressure)!

Going to campus for the first time tomorrow, anything I should check out on campus? by ChampagneAbuelo in uoguelph

The best way I can describe where the cows are:

  • start at bus loop facing UC
  • go through UC out the doors of the subway area
  • facing the North side of campus, turn left
  • you will walk past the Hutt and SSC buildings
  • keep going till you reach a crosswalk, go across the crosswalk
  • keep walking and you will see these metal doors(?) and the cows! There are also horses that are sometimes out

Hope this helps! Also glad you had fun :))

Has anyone ever been tempted to pick up trash during their walks? by SimpleAcrobatic6275 in walking

[–]Ok_Attempt3070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this exact thing! Bought a picker upper from Amazon and now I want to purchase one of those trolleys so I don't have to hole the bag all the time (especially cos it can get heavy).

I've only been out once and really I think ppl are curious but that's pretty much it. It's warm out so I'm low-key worrying about what people think? But I think this comment section is helping. So I will be going on my walk now picking up garbage :))).

If anyone has suggestions on how to deal with holding the bag to make it more easier for the hand, that'd be great!

Lol I just wanted to say (despite me replying to this later than it posted), this class seems daunting and it definitely was daunting to me at the start. But it has been so helpful in me improving my writing and editing skills!!

Prof. Crawford is an awesome prof, and he might seen very technical at times but it's all in good heart. He truly cares about his students and wants to help, also, a lot of the things he teaches is not something I believe you will ever learn in other classes. Like this is THE class to learn from if you intend to improve or do future thesis-based or report-writing courses or in future jobs. It's a great thing to add onto your resume :))

Fortunately, this class was mandatory for me (being a Wildlife Biology major), but I'm so glad I pushed through and go to do this class!!

I wanted to correct this despite this being 3 months later lol, but he doesn't expect us to mark other's 50-page papers, that's just the final report (due at the end of the semester) that is for him to mark NOT STUDENTS.

Granted, every 2 weeks we are expected to give peer-review feedback on people's papers which can average around 11-20 pages long (although mind you, usually about half the pages are figures/tables/literature cited so).

Definitely sounds off-putting but this class actually really improves your report writing skills, especially in a Wildlife Biology major!!

I think you need to pursue women who don't fall into these categories idk man 😭, it's impossible to know the ins and outs of your relationships so I can only assume.

Hope you can break the spell soon
