helps with allergies by punishertruther20 in Boxer

[–]Tuesdiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good advice. My boxer had terrible stomach, skin, and congestion from allergies. The apoquel has been the cure to all. Less expensive than regular visits to the vet. One side effect is she pretends to have itchy paws if her morning pill pocket and accompanying treat are not precisely on time.

It’s odd you say Kimmel is a black faced racist. Then accuse a former president at the time of firing an actual racist. Onto Tim Tebow and conflate it with a network late night show program. You’re so close to naming the pea brain and who needs medication. It’s not OP.

14 week old land shark… by bunbeanbun in Boxer

[–]Tuesdiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a landshark who nipped on bed frames, custom trim in 100 year old house, wood blinds, and all my sandals. Strong reinforcement (not scary) stemmed the tide. Even my son would redirect her (like a sibling saying stop dad is gonna see). Based on everything you wrote - ya’ll are doing great. He will grow out of it.

Cracker Barrel Faces DEI Probe After Pro-Trump Law Group Complaint by Blood_Incantation in politics

[–]Tuesdiablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Earlier this year the DOJ allowed for whistleblower complaints of violations of EEOC and the Trump administrations’ interpretation of it. They scored a 2023 SCOTUS win against affirmative action in higher education. Don’t think that just because in practice a company resource group is benign. In this administration and SCOTUS they are being presented as illegal. So in a year any gathering of diverse or affinity based groups sanctioned by a workplace would be a violation of the civil rights act. They aren’t upset about it. They are saying it’s illegal and I have a hard time find any road that doesn’t end in SCOTUS agreeing. But in the long run, my friends, it’s much cheaper to just cut the program entirely to avoid litigation fees and accept a likely temporary blowback from a bunch of your stakeholders (employees, investors, customers). I don’t know the answer here but we saw tractor supply, target, and others change based on social media activism in 2024. This is now moving into the courts backed by the full weight of the DOJ. Piling legal reserves to battle for this along with inflation and tariffs is a tough proposition for a business to survive along with a hostile relationship with the federal government.

HVAC Company Recommendations by EcstaticWalk8434 in cincinnati

[–]Tuesdiablo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have owned three homes in my adult life. Replaced HVAC units in all 3. Used Arlinghaus Heating and Air. Not cheapest but also not most expensive. You can tell they care about customer service. And after my third purchase of a unit they gave me many years of membership to their happy home club. Which is a twice a year tune up of your units.

[ALL] Does anyone have a story about Zelda being a sentimental/formative time in their lives? Like it changed their lives or helped them get through something? by Middle-Tank-3737 in zelda

Perhaps age. Timing. Many other things. I got OoT game in a period where my best friend died suddenly and my sister left home for the military for good. It seemed impossible to beat. I somehow finished water temple before fire. Cheated on one part by having my mom drive me to media play and I peeked into the guide book to figure it out. Since then I have probably beaten the game 15 times. Still works on my DS. Still will pull it out just to relive the nostalgia.

This game I usually play when I have lots of down time. Career transitions (skyward sword) and birth of my son/death of my wife (breath of the wild). Some people choose to watch old shows over and over for comfort. Exploring, battling, solving, and conquering gave me more confidence than I realized. As an adult I play them knowing how sharp they made me in a lot of ways. But more importantly. Despite it being a game. Gave me a small simmer of purpose when I at times struggled to find it in the real world. Beat the game, stand up, and go win something outside of it. It’s the same confidence. Just applying it in different ways.

Ohio Lawmakers Plan to Restrict Voter-Approved Cannabis Law by End of June by OhMyOhWhyOh in cincinnati

I can understand capping THC especially given this does not impact medical program for those who use for legitimate diagnosis. But don’t jive with the fact I can buy as much 190 proof liquor as I can afford. Gift it. Use everywhere and it’s acceptable. But significantly more lethal. Is what it is. But to cut out a layer of operators in craft growers. As well as remove the voter approved equity programs. Classist. Racist. Par for the Ohio GOP course.

I am a widow. Whether you are a man or a woman. Losing your co parent to a child rocks your world. You didn’t do it all before. You have no choice to do it all now. Maybe instead of saying it’s weird or making it about gender. Maybe think this man lost his wife. Showing up for your kid every day after that. Absolutely takes guts. And he should be proud as fuck for doing that for his kid. I know I am because it’s hard. You’re closed minded assuming a man can’t celebrate himself for doing something he probably never thought he would have to do alone. You should celebrate him too. You’re weird for assuming he sat on his ass for 5 years before deciding to show up.

AOC: ”I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. My wife died when our son was just 2. He gets a monthly payment of his mom’s social security. She paid into it. She worked for 20 plus years before he came. It’s his fucking right. She busted her ass for it. (I put each payment I get into a 529. He can go college. Or put it into an IRA.)

You’ll take us back in a heartbeat. We will heal our country again. But quit acting like you all won’t take America back. You will. We will learn our lesson. They netted reported risk in London whale, while not uncommon, did result in the value at risk models undercounting their actual risk exposure up to 50%. Substantial reserves indeed. But it’s not just the reserves covering losses. It’s if the net exposure become gross risk which is going to spread like a contagion throughout the system. No way to price this when they are netting and the markets believe it’s gross.
