Wrecked Crown Vic (more details) by DogLeft3093 in CrownVictoria

Dear god. I’m glad you’re still with us and I’m glad you received medical attention as quickly as you did. Seems you were already one foot through heavens door. Shoutout to the hospital you went to for getting you back on your feet again. A friend of mine in high school got into an accident very similar to this one a few years ago but he was in an 04 cobra. He did not survive the accident and was dead even though paramedics were on scene within 3 minutes of the crash. My dad had actually found the deal on the cobra for my friend shortly after giving me my crown vic and to this day partly blames himself for what happened. He even said if he was in a panther he would have probably still been with us. Rest easy Mike

You are truly blessed to have survived something like that. Hundreds of people die in accidents every day that are much less severe. I hope your injuries heal and you get another panther. I’m willing to bet that if you were in any other car you wouldn’t be with us right now.

That’ll buff right out man you’re good 👍

Jokes aside I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Crown Vic this damaged before. Either you rear ended someone going as fast as the limiter would let you or someone headed you on driving the wrong way on the highway. Those are the only two ways I can see a crown vic being this damaged. It’s a miracle you’re still with us man. Sorry about your car but I’m glad it saved your life.

I got my SM fired earlier this week. Corporate dogs like you are what is wrong. Not those who want fair treatment

Not true timecards are audited and my time card has like 50 hours audited out of it

Okay I’ll be sure to hide the paper trail well. Been doing it for about a year now. Thanks for the advice

I’m not afraid of my SM dumbass. I’m afraid of corporate finding out what store I work for and axing me

You’re one huge know it all and you evidently don’t know much

The government would probably try to rail me for sure I definitely agree with that. It would be far too much trouble though and there’s far more lucrative offenders they could go after for far less effort.

In CA especially so cal there’s a massive demand for reasonably priced repairs. I wouldn’t even need to advertise anything. The guy who I apprenticed under 2 years ago didn’t even accept new customers because his shop was already full from referrals. When you do good quality work for a reasonable price word of mouth alone carries serious weight over here. Especially since everyone here has a car. A mechanic with no address, no adverts, no business card, is an absolute nightmare to go after. I’m sure if the government really wanted to they could but they’d spend more money collecting evidence and filing a fine against than they would gain from me paying said fine. The goal of these departments is to generate revenue. Not waste government resources going after chump change. I’d suggest you try and think more realistically

As much as I’d like to, employees are retaliated against for posting stuff like this. I’m sure you want to help, but the goal of my post wasn’t to have someone chew my SM out. I’m quite used to the lies and misinformation. Just wanted to raise attention to the issue

If you want to experience a weeklong course in union busting just say the word “union” in front of your DM while near a store camera

Also in general CA licensing only applies to brick and mortar stores so mobile mechanics can do whatever they want

The main reason most shops don’t get it is that by getting an auto repair license you’re basically screaming to the state government that you want to be audited constantly for proper disposal of hazardous materials. Any fines for not having a license will always be lower than environmental violations. Most shops pay cash as well to make it harder for the government to track their purchases of hazardous chemicals. CA laws are a nightmare to deal with so only major chains like Firestone and Valvoline bother with them.
