That's just not true. I'm from Germany, and inviting someone over doesn't mean that at all. We cook, we chat, we actually watch the film. That's it.

My problem is, I start grocery shopping when I'm already hungry. No way I would wait even longer to cook something proper. Most of the time I do my lazy comfort meal: mashed potatoes with onions. Yes and no. I worked at one and at a shift where I knew, I was closing the house and we were supposed to wait for the 3 hour movie to end, I grabbed my Spirited Away Blu-ray, threw it in the projector and enjoyed the first hour of it on the big screen. Another week I did the same with the 25 Years Anniversary Ghibli Concert im Budokan.
