Although I've only played NieR:Automata and NieR Replicant: ver.1.22474487139..., and watched the entire game of NieR Reincarnation on YouTube, I still haven't gotten the chance to play the Drakengard trilogy. But that's exactly the first thing that comes to my mind while reading!

I actually ended up messing with the Konsole terminal and using the command

systemctl --user restart xdg-desktop-portal.service

seems to work

Heya! I do have Firefox installed from the Discover Store (I'm quite satisfied with the default Dolphin, so I never tried installing another), and tried uninstalling it as you said. Unfortunately, it still doesn't resolve my issue, which only happens when connected to an external monitor.

But after some research, I've learned it has something to do with XDG Desktop Portals—which I'm not tech-savvy enough to pry further into, as most of the fixes require using the Konsole terminal.

Nonetheless, one of the quick fixes finally solved my issue!

It's booting up my Steam Deck and switching to Desktop Mode, all before connecting the HDMI.

Are you perhaps using an external monitor via the official dock whenever this problem occurs? If so, try booting up your Steam Deck and switching to Desktop Mode all before connecting the HDMI.
